"It's Lise," I hummed as I swallowed what I remembered to be deer meat. "She's smarter than me, you know? Also, thanks. You can go visit your sister now."
Before I could chuckle at my own inept humor, I was surprised when Anna then resumed her spot by my side, her own meal on one hand as she casually took a bite. She gave me a warm look, something that was increasingly getting more frequent these past few hours.
"I already gave my sister a visit, Rouge," she smiled. "We had a short chat and that's that."
I raised an eyebrow at the blatant lie. "You haven't even been gone for ten minutes," I called her out. "I kind of doubt that you've made that much progress with that much time."
"Mathilde's a woman of few words," Anna chuckled. "We have some kind of mind-reading thing going on. I'm sure you know what I mean."
