Our bout ended as we slid away from each other after our final blow, the force from our attacks surprisingly being strong enough to fell a few kilograms of snow out of the nearby trees from the ensuing shockwave as we shook off the adrenaline.
"Good show, you two," Anna clapped from the sidelines as she tended to the growing campfire. "That's enough for today. Get some rest."
"Sure."
Wiping a bit of sweat off my face, Mathilde and I walked back to our camp before we sat down and ate what amounted to our lunch and dinner for the day. Nothing like a catch of freshwater fish from the river that we were following downstream.
"I know I'm not the best teacher for this stuff, Mathilde, but can you at least not pretend to accept what I'm teaching you?"
