Joshua saw the confused look on her face and chuckled.

"Don't tell me you forgot." He said and when Esther's face did not loosen up, he laughed. "And here I thought ladies do better at keeping dates."

Esther sighed and looked down. "I have so many exceptions."

Joshua's arms tightened around her and he kissed her temple. 

"That makes you even more special." He assured, making Esther peek at him through the mirror with a smile.

She turned around to face him and threw herself into his embrace, pressing her face on his broad chest.

"I love you, Joshua." She couldn't help but declare her selfless love for this guy right here. 

Joshua smiled and pressed his lips on her forehead, drawing her closer to himself till there was no space between them. He leaned closer to her ears and whispered.

"I love you more than you can ever imagine, babe."

Esther blushed. How did she get so lucky? Did she save a nation in her past life?
