''Kya!'' Ria suddenly woke up and looked around.

Her blurry gaze adjusted to the bright light of this chamber. She meant to press the bedding with her palm but sensed a warm forehead. It was Charlotte, Viscount Dorstone's biological daughter, one year older than her.

''Charlotte, Charlotte!'' Ria shook her sister. However, she didn't wake up.

The wolf girl then realized her hands were tied with a weird black chain.

''I can't… seem to channel mana.'' Ria frowned. She got up from the bed and looked around. This was a large room but there were no windows. The only exit out of here was the tall door which appeared locked.

Ria remembered she was captured by that terrifying human. It appeared he brought her as well as Charlotte here, but where was this place?

She walked around, feeling the walls and sniffing the air. As a beastkin, her sense of smell was high. She was an actual wolf who could transform into a human form. Something only shifters of the 2nd Circle or higher could do.
