章節 69: Between Two Fires

Kael watched Rosa's eyes like a hawk while her gaze followed Erland then stayed pinned on the door he had just gone through. Are you pitying him now? Why? She dismissed the absurd notion and the meaningless question as a side effect of her fever.

"Everyone out," Kael's voice cut through the air like a blade. The physicians exchanged glances before one of them spoke up. 

"We'll take turns checking on the patient," he began, but was quickly silenced by the icy look from Kael. The knights escorted them out, leaving the room quiet once more.

Rosa felt the heavy pull of drowsiness when the people who were breathing over her head left the room, her eyelids were growing heavier with each passing moment until the glaring contest between Kael and Silver caught her eye and jolted her awake.

Kael's eyes darted towards her then back to Silver. "I don't like to repeat myself. Everyone should leave Lady Highmore to rest."
