章節 26: Come back with me
Aurora's eyes widened as his breath evened out. Had he fallen asleep?
She groaned as she tried her best to drag him towards the bed. Gosh he was so much bigger than her that his body weight was crushing her.
When they were close enough to the bed, she pushed him down on it and let out the breath she had been holding. That had to be one of the most tiring things she had ever done in her life.
She breathed in then slowly sat down on the bed and stared at his face. He was breathtaking and didn't even seem real.
How could someone be so perfect? There was not a single flaw in his features no matter how hard she looked. He was perfect and that's why someone like her that was imperfect couldn't be with him.
She couldn't help but wonder about how many ladies in his realm had he been with and she couldn't help but frown at the thought. He was eight hundred plus years old so it was inevitable that he had had countless women in his bed but she couldn't help but want him for herself alone.
She let out a sigh then plopped down beside him then raised her hand and began caressing his face.
What was she even thinking? He was never hers and was never going to be hers but it didn't hurt to dream, right? If he got freed from here, was he even going to remember her? She didn't know how to feel about letting him go just yet.
She moved closer to him and rested her head on his chest.
"Why can't you just love me?" She murmured with a frown. She knew she sounded desperate but she was. Gosh! She should better stop this infatuation before it's too late.
She sighed then closed her eyes and fell asleep to the sound of his heart beat.

Xavier woke up in the middle of the night and glanced around. He was in Aurora's room? She must have summoned him again.
He sighed and tried getting up but a small arm was wrapped around his waist and the more he moved, the more the arm got tighter around him. She mumbled something then snuggled into his chest which he had to admit was cute but the position they were in was making him uncomfortable.
"Little wolf" He murmured and as soon as she heard his voice, she gasped and sat up with wide eyes.
"Oh you're awake. I didn't realize I was laying on you so don't be mad" She uttered hurriedly while he just let out a smile as he tilted his head.
"There's droll at the side of your mouth" She gasped then immediately jumped out of the bed and ran towards the mirror. She cussed herself when she saw there was in fact a droll at the side of her mouth and she wiped it off Furiously.
When she was done, she turned around and found Xavier seated up on the bed, watching her. She cleared her throat slightly then walked closer to him.
"Erm… why did you faint? Is something wrong?" She questioned with worry on her face.
"This stake in my body is there to limit my movement so the more you summon me and the more I move around, the weaker I get" Her eyes widened slightly and she suddenly felt bad.
"If I had known, I wouldn't have summoned you. I'm sorry. I just needed your company" She murmured then slowly sat down beside him.
Silence passed between them but she couldn't tell if it was awkward or not since they both didn't have what to say.
"Is this the only clothes you have?" She questioned after a while as her eyes trailed down his body. He nodded slowly.
"Yes" She turned to him.
"Will you let me give you a makeover?" He furrowed his eyebrows.
"A makeover?" She nodded eagerly.
"I'll change your clothes and style your hair. It's going to be so much fun!" She squealed but immediately frowned when he shook his head.
"No. I don't need you doing that" She sighed.
"Please? Just for tonight. I promise I'll be quick and you will change your clothes yourself and I promise I won't look" He shook his head.
"I don't want you touching my hair or my body" She frowned.
"But you let me touch your hair last time, didn't you? You know what, never mind" She mumbled and was about to stand up from the bed when he grabbed her hand and pulled her back. He didn't even know why he did that. He could have just let her walk away and she wouldn't have had to touch him but no, his body always reacted before his brain.
"You'll be quick?" He murmured and her face immediately lit up. She nodded hurriedly.
"Very quick. Although I don't know how I'm going to find you another outfit" He shook his head.
"Don't worry about that, I'll ask Paxton to bring me some clothes" He muttered then stood up from the bed and glanced around.
"Where's your bathroom?" He questioned and she pointed at a door by the side.
"Do you need me to help you out?" He paused then turned to her.
"You want to help me bathe and change my clothes?" Her eyes widened when she realized how much that made her sound like a pervert.
"Oh I didn't mean it like that… it's just you said that you moving around is draining your energy so I…. Oh forget it" She was sure her face was as red as a tomato right now.
Xavier smiled slightly then walked into the bathroom. By the time he came out, he was in new fresh clothes and for some reason, seeing him in all black made her heart race. He looked so sexy and mysterious.
She stood up and was about to walk towards him when she shrieked and jumped away with wide eyes.
"Is that… is that a bee, where did it come from?" She questioned then glanced around for a weapon she could hit it with.
"Hold on, it's Paxton. He's a shapeshifter" She furrowed her eyebrows then glanced back at the bee who immediately changed into a human and waved at her.
"Hi little wolf, I mean Aurora" She yelped as her eyes grew wide.
"What the…. How… if you were in bee form, how were you able to bring him clothes?" Paxton shook his index finger at her.
"A shape shifter never reveals its secret. I'll be off now, be expecting me tomorrow, Xavier" With that, he changed back into a bee and flew away.
"Wow, what other creatures are out there?" She questioned as she turned to Xavier.
"A whole lot more than you can imagine" Her eyes brightened but then it dimmed.
"I wish I would one day be able to see them but I doubt it" She murmured.
"Why?" Xavier questioned as he walked up to her.
"My parents, they'd never let me leave this pack unless I'm married and even then, they'll have my husband trap me in his pack as well" Xavier tried his best not to frown but her thinking of her 'Future husband' made his chest uncomfortable.
"How about you come with me to my realm? You won't have to be trapped here and you won't have to marry against your will" Her eyes widened at his offer.
"Do you want me with you when you go back to your realm?" He stared at her for a while, unable to say anything and she frowned. Why did she ask such a question in the first place?
"Yes, I want you by my side when I return back to my realm, little wolf"...
