章節 16: Advantage?
Aurora couldn't get what Steven said to her as she walked towards Xavier's cave.
He liked her? How could he like her? No one else liked her other than her parents so what made himike her?
She groaned as she suddenly remembered how she ran away from him after his confession. What else was she supposed to do? She didn't know what to say.
She shook her head to get rid of any thoughts of Steven as she neared the door in the cave. Xavier was going to get a scolding from her that was for sure.
"Don't" Xavier muttered with his eyes closed before she could even say anything. She glared at him then closed the door behind her.
"You have been ignoring me" She uttered.
"Yes" Her eyes widened slightly. She hadn't expected him to admit it so easily.
"Why? What's wrong? Did I say something or do something?" Xavier slowly opened his eyes then turned to her lazily.
"I just realized that Demigods and weak wolves can't be friends. It's a taboo" She frowned.
"How is it a taboo? Anyone can be friends and besides, it doesn't matter. You make the rules, don't you?" Xavier sighed.
"I don't want to be your friend anymore, Aurora. Leave, I Don't want you here" Her frown deepened. Had she done something to him? Why was he suddenly being so cold towards her?
"I don't know what the matter is with you but I want to be your friend and I don't care what you have to say" She muttered then plopped herself on the ground, right of him with a pout.
She sat there for over 30 minutes just staring at Xavier who acted like she wasn't even there. His eyes were closed and she was pretty sure she heard him snore. Had he really fallen asleep?
She glared at him and opened her mouth to cuss at him when he suddenly opened his eyes.
"Are you afraid of me, Little wolf?" She froze as her eyes grew wide. She couldn't deny that when she saw his real appearance, she had been shaken to the bone but she wasn't afraid of him, she was afraid of what he turned into.
"No" She replied honestly and he frowned.
"This is not me, Aurora. What you saw Yesterday is the real me. If you fear the real me then you can't be my light" Aurora frowned.
"Listen, I've never seen anything like that before and of course I was scared and it's going to take me some time to get used to that appearance but I know that you won't hurt me" Xavier scoffed with a smirk.
"Don't assume, Aurora. I wasn't in my full form yet and that's why I was able to recognize you. When I'm in my full form, anyone in my way dies. Are you afraid now? I'm a monster, little wolf. You won't be able to handle me" She shook her head.
"You can't dictate that for me, I said I wanted to be your light and your friend and there's nothing you can do to stop me" Xavier tilted his head at her then laughed.
"Really?" She gulped at how dangerously low his voice was. Before she could even think, He swiftly grabbed her arm and she couldn't help but whimper and try to free herself but he was holding on to her tightly.
"Let go of me, Xavier" She whined as she stared at him.
"If I broke your bones, what do you think your parents would say? If I bruised your arm, will they send you far far away from here? Because if that's the case…" Aurora winced as he poked his sharp fingernails into her arm.
"Stop, you're hurting me!" She screamed then bared her fangs at him but Xavier just laughed.
"Those baby teeth of yours can't do me any harm. You should fear me, everyone fears me" Aurora cried out as his fingers dug deeper into her skin.
"Stop!"
"Fear me!" He boomed as his eyes turned red but despite the pain and how rapidly her heart was beating, she shook her head.
"I don't want to, so please stop!"
"You fear me, Aurora, I can hear your heart racing! Leave me alone and don't ever return!" She shook her head as tears streamed down her cheeks.
"I can't!" He furrowed his eyebrows.
"And why not? Behave like you never knew I was here, forget about me because you're bound to get hurt around me" She shook her head then wiggled her arm but that just made his fingers Pierce deeper into her arm. She whimpered then turned to him with pleading eyes.
"Please let go, I'm begging you" She noticed his eyes softened a little but it was gone in a flash.
"Just agree to forget me and I'll let you go" She shook her head stubbornly.
"No!"
"Why the fuck not?!"
"Because I like you, Xavier!" He froze as his eyes grew wide. His hand loosened on her arm and she immediately jumped away from him.
She cussed herself in her head for revealing her feelings to him like that but he forced it out of her.
"What did you say?" He questioned with squinted eyes as he turned to her. She but her lip then stood up from the ground while holding her arm.
"I said I like you, I like you Xavier. It takes a lot of courage for me to say this and I know it's not right but I like you" Before he could say anything, she ran out of the cave without turning back. Gosh why had she said it like that? What was wrong with her? She probably sounded like a love sick teenager.
How was she ever going to be able to look him in the eye after that?

Paxton transformed back into his human form then whistled lightly as he settled down beside Xavier who was still in shock. Paxton had been watching them from the side and he was honestly shocked by everything.
"The little weak wolf likes you. What are you going to do about it?" Xavier turned to Paxton with a glare.
"What did you call her?" Paxton cleared his throat.
"Erm I meant, Aurora, Aurora likes you. What are you going to do about it?" Xavier turned back to the door and a slow smirk appeared on his face.
"I'm going to use it to my advantage"...
