It was mid day when the whole school turned upside down with the valentine day celebration.

Defiance watched as the teachers packed up their things and left and the students were left to run wild.

"What is going on?" She asked Mindy who was busy staring at the back of Julian's head.

"School is unofficially over. Everyone is going to be with the one they love while the rest of us without a life just stare as the man of our dreams laughs with one of the hottest girls in school" Mindy said.

Defiance took her friend's hand and squeezed it reassuringly.

"He is a buffoon. I highly doubt that Julian would know a good thing even if it's staring him in the face" Defiance said without lowering her voice which embarrassed Mindy as Julian turned towards them to yell.

"Up your ass, Franklin!" 

Defiance had no idea what that meant but coming from Julian, it was probably nothing good.
