The next day passed in a blur as the village of Brenden buzzed with activity. News had spread quickly that Adrian and his company would soon be departing, and the villagers, grateful for the protection and guidance they had received, were eager to help. 

They moved, gathering supplies, packing provisions, and ensuring that the group had everything they needed for their journey back to Zarpha.

Adrian watched from a distance, arms folded as he observed the bustling preparations. 

He appreciated the effort, but his mind was elsewhere—on the road ahead.

Medea approached, her calm presence drawing his attention. "The villagers are packing more supplies than we'll need," she noted as her sharp eyes scanned the scene. "I think they're trying to make up for the fact that we're leaving them."

Adrian nodded. "They're scared. They've only just started to rebuild, and now we're leaving."
