章節 46: Little nuisances

Fern left for the east yesterday, and I've been indoors since then. I've not gone out as I don't see any attraction with the outside. Spending time indoors seems like the best decision. But that was until I remembered my promise to Fern.

I know I didn't outright promise anything to him, but it was one of the things he wanted me to take care of.

I stood at my window and watched his pack's females walking around like sheep without a shepherd.

And that was when I decided to go out to them. Fern their Alpha isn't here, so I think it's my duty to protect them. It's my duty to give them tasks to occupy their day.

I got dressed in a plain shirt and blue shorts. As there was nothing ceremonial outside, I decided to leave my hair the way it is.

There is no reason to brush the stubborn strand as it will only pain me more.

I walked out of the house, and towards the female who seems to be weeding.
