Kaleb frequently felt like an idiot throughout the course of his life—side effect of being surrounded by smart people—but never more so than when Lila asked him why he was considering her tastes when trying to buy an apartment.
He hadn't realized that she thought he wasn't taking their relationship seriously just because he never said anything about long-term plans. Those weren't exactly his specialty and never had been but he needed to be better about it because he didn't want her to worry.
He wasn't going anywhere unless she kicked him to the curb but she didn't seem like she wanted to do that. He had never seen her happier than she had been since they officially moved in together.
Kaleb should have realized she was in this for the long haul. She was always so happy to see him when he came home even when he was only gone for a few days at a time now.
Hope you enjoyed! Any future Run Girl side stories I might do will be posted in Mcllorycat Extras so be sure to check that out and see my social media for novel announcements and other extra goodies :)
