章節 17: 17. Stop pushing me away
Glancing at her red face, Alexander silently chuckled pulling her to his chest and lifted his left hand to lovingly fiddle with the girl's long and wavy brown hair. He continued when he didn't hear her reply.
" To be honest I can't describe what I feel for you right now. From the moment I saw you at the cruise I think you're a good woman. "
To be frank, when he first saw her and her guarded expression, he had more interest in teasing the little girl.
He wasn't sure when or how things escalated or maybe things happened naturally after escaping death together for several times.
He took her hand and placed it on the top of his chest, letting her feel the loud and steady beat of his heart. His eyes met hers silently hoping she'd see how much she meant to him.
For the first time Aria dared to look into his eyes.
He looked down at her his long curly eyelashes gently covering the dark look in his eyes. The light in his dark soulful eyes was also slightly hidden, but some of it escaped through those thin, silky gaps of his thick eyelashes.
" The woman I saw you with... "
Aria suddenly blurted out accidentally letting out the words that had been painfully lingering on her lips. She almost face palmed herself as she bit her lower lip chiding herself for letting out what her brain had clearly warned her against.
When the man fell silent, Aria's throat suddenly tightened finding it hard to swallow.
Would he say that she was the woman arranged for him to marry by his family?
Her face turned ashen as her heart twisted in her chest squeezing the blood away to the pit of her stomach.
" I had no idea until I boarded the cruise that I was set up on a blind date with her.
I don't know anything about her except that she's the daughter of a family friend. I hadn't met her in more than a decade until that Friday night. "
Xander finished in one breath his pale colored pupils carrying a trace of coldness.
Aria stared at his face with a lost expression not knowing whether to be happy or feel relieved or something
else.
" How I live or who I want to be with is usually not influenced by my family. I make my own decisions. "
He added in a dominant tone noticing the reluctance in her eyes.
" Let's just go with the flow okay? You don't have to be afraid of anything. "
Aria felt something as light as a feather on her skin brushing against it like a puddle of soft cream. His hot breath was on her skin making her to tremble. She even felt him giving her soft pecks on her neck.
She went red from head to toe. Gritting her teeth she placed her hands on his shoulders unsuccessfully trying to push his body away noticing his heated gaze.
He stared down at her with hungry eyes making her heart skip a beat.
She stiffened and her head suddenly buzzed when his moist lips brushed against her ear.
Xander had tasted the dangerous drug once and he already felt addicted. He wanted to taste it again and again.
" Please stop pushing me away. I really want you... give yourself to me hmm? What do you say? "
He slowly nibbled on her earlobe while raining feathery kisses on her face and neck sending shivers down her spine. His deep and seductive voice penetrated her ears making her heartbeat to suddenly whizz.
