章節 30: CHAPTER 30: Spar between Fodel and Kean
I slowly opened my eyes, puzzled by the feminine hand that outstretched to my chest and the soft breath that slightly tickled my neck, the alluring scent of a familiar person appeared in my head, it finally hit me, yesterday Layla slept in my room. As if sensing that I'm about to leave she locked her leg on on mine and hugged me tightly. Her body is hypersoft.
After everything that happened made me realise life is a crazy ride. You don't know what is going to happen tomorrow, nothing is guaranteed.
I really love this sleeping beauty next to me and I know she will eccept my feelings, I'm in her heart too after all.
I gently separated from her grasp. I checked the time, it was already 5 am. I wore the scale mail armor I got from killing the draugr lord before.
Checking myself in the mirror, a young lad wearing a leather armor made of scales, the pants also had scales in some areas but the rest was leather. The boots where leathered only.
I went to the bed and gave Layla a kiss in the forehead, the corner of her lips slightly rose.
If I watch her cute expression I may never leave.
I strolled in the siting room thinking that I may find the old man waiting for me but the room was desolated.
Mybe I should go to sleep and come back later.
"You know if you really show that you are serious about training, I may give you a special gift to make you stronger." The system chimed.
I grinned. 'You know what, maybe I should also check if he's outside.'
'Although you are a stingy system, sometimes you know what you have to do so I can be motivated.'
"I want to bring out your maximum potential through hard work."
I kept strolling outside until I came across a huge garden on the other side of the house.
I immediately started wondering inside as I was amused by the beautiful flowers, this place had a calm and vibrant feeling.
I sighted someone who kept smelling the flowers.
"Isn't nature fascinating." Aeverie beamed with a face slightly showing emotions.
"Yah it's lovely I guess."
"Being in the wild gives me so much joy that I can't explain in words."
She turned and faced me, her white mini dress which showcased her curves was brilliant on her.
Aeverie handed me a purple flower.
"Huh, does your powers have something to do with nature."
She slightly shook her head. "No, my powers are a lot complicated actually, they are also pertaining to my origin."
"Oh, I would like to hear that sometime."
"If I tell you that I know your curiosity will lead me to telling you about my past, and if I do that. You might end up hating me." Her smile faded.
I raised her chin, her eyes locked with mine. "I would never hate you, Don't let your past define you, we determine who we are by what we do. So don't worry about anything"
She nodded. "Mmmh, I will tell you everything when I'm ready then."
"Boy, while you are out here flirting I have been waiting for your arrival the past hour."
My body turned pale at the gravelly voice behind me.
"Well you see I-"
"Follow me." He ordered. "
I followed Fodel, he led me to a place outside the gate, we stood at the bare ground which seemed like it was made for fights as the trees surrounded us from a distant.
He stood metres away from me, his hands wrapped behind his back as usual and wore an expressionless face that made me gulp dry saliva.
"Before we start training, I want you to show me what you got boy." He addressed.
"I'm allowed to use magic right?"
"Use anything you want." He yawned.
My brow twitched at his attitude.
Kean took a stance.
Fire enveloped Kean's hands as he used Inflame, shooting the gout of fire towards Fodel he instantly dashed forward trying to close the distance. Wind blew vigorously rising from Fodel's feet, it extended towards Kean at great speed that his flames where overpowered and pushed him back at the process.
'What the heck! Wind Magic!' His eyes widened at the thought.
"What was that boy, your flame was not even hot enough to lit a cigarette if I had one." Fodel spoke still maintaining a stoic face.
Kean narrowed his eyes and used Lightning strike.
In Kean's eyes it was like Fodel dissappeard and the Lightning stroke his shadow, while in truth he just side stepped with the boost of wind, and the human eye couldn't keep up.
When Kean blinked in disbelief Fodel boosted himself with wind flying towards Him. Kean only saw himself flying backwards in the air and crash landed into a clump of trees.
"Uggggh!" He growled as he felt intense pain all over his body.
Rolling on the ground, he slowly tried to get up. His body all beat up from a single kick in the torso.
He coughed up a little blood." I have to a-admit I ha- have never been beat up like this from a single blow. A-Are you even human." Kean acknowledged while stumbling towards Fodel.
He raised his brow. " You are still able to walk."
Kean used the Level 2 skill Dragon wrath, all his stats where now increased by 8.
'Ohh, interesting. He seems to have gone slightly stronger.' Fodel thought in admiration.
Kean spit the blood in his mouth and darted towards Fodel.
His hand aimed to punch him, Fodel only had one thought. 'Is he stupid.'
Fodel blocked with his leg raised high, this time he didn't use any of his ability or any force.
Kean grinned as his other hand casted lightning rune in Fodel's body.
Fodel half smiled, vanishing in his sight he appeared behind him, Kean was waiting for that move.
With all his force he tilted in the air and sent a ball of flames which exploded in Fodel face.
When Kean hit the ground with a victory smile he felt a foot stopping him. Fodel was already standing behind him .
My body turned cold as my victory smile twitched. 'ARE YOU FUCCKKKING KIDDING ME!! HOW? WHY?'
"Not bad boy, you have a lot to learn, now the real training begins." His smile paralysed me in terror.
