After hanging up the phone, Daniel said, "I'll call you back." "What the heck did you just say?"

I softly whispered, "That I still love you," as his mouth began to speak, then closed. Daniel moved towards me and said, "Please say something."

I moved closer to Daniel, who added, "I love you too, but I don't know what to do about it."

I firmly exclaimed, "I don't know what to do either!" while taking another step. We stared into each other's eyes from a few inches apart. I whispered as he caressed my cheek, "The one thing I'm sure of is that I hate this, this pretending to hate each other."

Daniel leaned in and murmured, "I'm going to kiss you," and as his lips came together with mine, a surge of excitement shot through my entire body. As I encircled his neck with my arms, I noticed that I was giving in to the kiss.
