After an hour or so, the unicorn woke up and slowly stood up. Art placed his hand on it, assuring her that it was safe here. The unicorn nudge his hand and slowly trotted into the forest. Hagrid then took him up to the castle.
"I'll keep an eye on the unicorns, Art. Don't worry." Hagrid promised, holding his crossbow to his chest.
"Thanks Hagrid."
Art heading into the castle, entering his dormitory. Fred and George were all sleeping already so Art crashed onto his bed and fell asleep.
The sun soon came up and Art groggily rubbed his eyes and got up from his bed. He got dressed and made his way to the Great Hall. He saw Susan talking to her fellow Hufflepuffs, clearly enjoying herself. Art smiled and waved at her before sitting down at his table. Fred and George sat next to him, talking about their upcoming Quidditch match. Art stayed silent and left the Great Hall early, heading towards Hagrid's hut.
"Art! What are you doing here so early?" Hagrid asked.
"Has the unicorn returned?"
"Came by this morning but left not long ago." he answered.
Art nodded his head and headed back to the castle. He would check on her tonight after class. Attending his classes, the day seemed to pass by slowly for Art. Finally, Potions ended and Art left the dungeon quickly, heading towards Hagrid's hut. Art saw the female unicorn eating some grass by the forest and trotted towards him when it saw him.
"Hey girl, how are you feeling?" Art said softly, petting her head. She nibbled at his ear causing him to laugh. He stayed with her for a while longer before heading back to the castle.
The school year continued on and Art continued to check on the unicorn. Hagrid told Art that he found two other unicorns dead in the forest, blood sucked. This caused Art pain, causing him to start patrolling forest regularly but he didn't find that cloaked man. Art continued taking Dumbledore's class even after the fight. Though he thought differently of Dumbledore now, he still couldn't deny the man's skill in teacher and magic. To stop taking his class would be idioctic.
Art was sitting in the library searching creatures that would suck a unicorn's blood. The answer wasn't good, any creature that would kill a unicorn were very evil and very powerful creatures. Closing the book, he opened another one on Healing.
"Umm, excuse Artland." a weak voice said.
Looking up, Art saw a chubby boy with brown hair and pasty skin.
"Neville. How can I help you?" Art said, giving him a small smile.
"Potions." he muttered, avoiding Art's eyes.
Art shook his head, Potions were Neville's nemesis and asked him for help multiple times.
"Okay, let's see." Art said, reaching his hand out for his parchment. Art scanned the parchment and started pointing out mistakes for Neville to fix. The boy started to fix his mistakes, asking a few questions of his own. Though everyone thought Neville was incompetent, Art could see that the kid had potentional, just self confidence issues.
Soon the Christmas holidays were here and Art was heading home. Amelia wrote to him and asked him if he and the Sullivans wanted to have a Christmas dinner together. He wrote her back saying they would be honoured and told Susan that he would see her during the holidays. The twins were staying in Hogwarts for the break while Cedric was heading home.
"Mr. Cason, you Healing skills continue to impress me. A few more years and I believe you will be able to surpass me." Madam Pomfrey said, smiling at Art healing a students broken arm.
"Unlikely Professor Pomfrey, you have a Mastery in Healing." Art said, giving her a smile.
His classes in Healing were becoming more interesting as Pomfrey started to allow him to actually heal patients, under her careful watch of course. This gave him the experience he needed, allowing him to advance his abilities.
Art was on the Hogwarts Express, heading home for the break sitting with Cedric.
"You have improved once again Ced." Art said, watching him attempt a spell.
"Still behind you. But at least those bird brains aren't ahead of me now." he gave a bitter smile.
Art laughed and assured his friend, "You are a very skilled wizard. Whatever you plan to do in the future you will excel at."
"What do you plan to do in the future Art? Auror?" Cedric asked.
"No idea. I think the Ministry is somewhat corrupt and inept." Art said shaking his head, "How about you?"
"Probably the Ministry, I mean what else is there?" Cedric said.
"Countless possibilities, we just have to find them."
Cedric didn't answer and mulled over Art's words. Soon the train arrived at King's Cross and Cedric and Art gave each other a hug before separating.
Art saw his parents waiting for him and gave them a hug. Soon they were home and Art told his parents about his time at school. He shared some new spells which he was trying to achieve and explained to Tim how he planned to bring his martial art skills and normal wizard dueling together. Tim was interested and started to help Art with different strategies.
The holidays passed by slowly and Art enjoyed his time with his family. Amelia soon stopped by and invited them over for a Christmas dinner. The Sullivans agreed and piled into their car, following Amelia in her Ministry car. On the outskirts of London, Amelia pulled into a small driveway of a run down house. Bella and Tim looked at Art in confusion, they knew that Amelia was high ranking in the Ministry.
Art smiled crookedly, "Magic." he explained.
Tim scowled and looked at the rundown house, not understanding how magic would fix this. Amelia exited the vehicle and tapped her wand on the mailbox, soon the old rundown house transformed into a beautiful white mansion. Soon Susan ran out of the house towards Art, giving him a hug.
"Susan, you remember my parents Bella and Tim?" Art asked Susan.
"Of course. Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan. Welcome to our home." she said politely.
Bella beamed, happy seeing such a polite girl. She let Susan guide her into the house while Art and Tim followed from behind. They entered the mansion and saw candles floating around with a house elf waiting for them.
"Welcome honoured guests. May Binky take your coats?" a squeaking voice asked.
"Thank you Binky." Art said, handing his coat to the house elf.
Bella and Tim looked at the house elf with frightened eyes but gave their coats to Binky. Sitting down at a large dining room table, Amelia waved her wand and soon wine and butterbeer was served. Soon after food was served and it was delicious. Bella and Tim complimented Amelia on the food while Art talked to Susan about school.
"What's Hogsmeade like Art? I heard you third years get to go." Susan asked.
"I haven't gone yet. I have been busy with school work." Art said, half lying. He had been busy with school work but most of his time was spent in the forest looking for that cloaked man.
She looked enviously at Art's butterbeer, her aunt gave her a glass of juice. Art looked over and saw Amelia was in a deep conversation with Tim and Bella, he gently pushed the bottle towards her, allowing her to take a sip.
She sputtered causing Art to laugh and he quickly took the butterbeer back. The meal ended and Susan brought Art to her room where they played video games that Art gave her.
"Stupid Donkey Kong." Susan said, pouting and throwing the controlling.
Art stuck his arms up in triumph, defeating her. Bella gently knocked on the door and stuck her head in, "Time to go Art."
Art nodded his head, giving Susan a hug and telling her that he would see her at Hogwarts.
They left the Bones', with Amelia giving Art a hug and telling him to behave. The rest of the holidays passed by and Art was on his way back to Hogwarts.
