章節 52: Hidden Inventory IX: Teaming up
"Oh right. I forgot about you. You know none of this would have been possible without you, my friend, so to really thank you, how about you go to hell for me. I promise to make it painless, unlike how I killed your wife and daughter…hahahaha!"
Letting out an unscrupulous laugh, Kenjaku pointed his arm towards Toji, as a dark ball of sticky cursed energy materialised, accompanied by a malevolent aura.
*BANG!*
About to fire the attack, his smile vanished in an instant, as he sensed a foreign object shooting towards him at immense speed. He quickly halted his attack and utilised impressive speed to disappear from where he stood.
A figure instantly dropped from the skies, Superman style, and landed before a stunned Toji once more.
"Do I really need to keep coming to save your ass, Toji? Get a hold of yourself!!"
Kenshin roared and turned to face Kenjaku who now stood a few meters away from the both of them.
"You." Kenshin uttered only a single word, but the fury in his eyes was evident, as his irises quickly turned purple, revealing his Rinnegan, which materialised a burst of cursed energy that caused a mighty wind to erupt.
"Impressive cursed energy output. Worthy of the heir of the Hayato clan. However that isn't enough to put me down…"
Kenjaku laughed and got into a sort of Tai Chi style stance, as his cursed energy bubbled forth with impressive output.
Kenshin on the other hand summoned two blades, a long katana, and a short one which in held in reverse grip.
*SWOOSH!*
Right on command, he shattered the sound barrier in an instant and reached Kenjaku, as he slashed both swords backed by immense power.
Readying himself, Kenjaku stretched out his palms, parrying the two attacks, as both of them quickly engaged each other in a bout of close combat, while moving at sonic speed.
*BANG!*
Each of their clashes sent shockwaves ripping through the land. Even Kenshin couldn't help but be surprised by the amount of strength the opponent was revealing at the moment. Strength that was either greater than or on par with Satoru himself.
However unlike Satoru whose insane reflexes could almost make up for all his shortcomings in close combat, Kenjaku simply had no openings, as if he had achieved complete mastery in his technique.
Every parry, and every counter was thrown after immense calculations and none of them were useless.
Kenshin on the other hand was like a tank, far durable than Kenjaku had expected. Although his mastery of martial arts wasn't on his level, every kick that hit him was like a hammer, and he felt the pain deep to the bones.
Flipping backwards, he dodged a slash from Kenshin's double blades, and while on the air, he twirled himself gracefully and stretched out his palm, as the atmosphere turned chilly.
Dozens of icicles formed behind him and shot towards Kenshin at speeds that even he was unable to block completely.
Powering up his Deva Path, Kenshin utilised the Almighty Push, firing out a repulsive force that blasted away all the icicles that were piercing towards him with a mere glance.
As Kenjaku landed on the ground, Kenshin moved and appeared before him like ghost and kicked out with immense force, hurling Kenjaku away several meters like garbage.
Seeing how his kick had landed as he had expected, he flung the two swords in his hand into the sky, before he spun around and kicked them towards Kenjaku who was still soaring in the air.
'Tsk. Tsk. What a powerful kick.' Kenjaku chuckled and noticed the two swords only a couple of meters away from him.
He waved his hand, and plucked them out of the air, landed on the ground and formed multiple hand signs.
"Cursed Technique: Nether binder!"
Letting out an evil smirk, a bunch of dark black metallic chain burst out of his back disappeared in an instant.
"What?!"
Kenshin was about to evade the attack when he felt everything just vanish in an instant, as if Kenjaku had teleported the attack.
His Rinnegan was on full power, scanning his surroundings with precision.
'If I can move out of the range of the attack, then everything would be alright once I use that attack..'
Kenshin thought and leapt into the air, using universal pull to levitate. Not suspecting an attack in mid air, he conjured up hand signs wanting to fire an attack, when he felt a couple of metallic chains wrap unto his body and drag him into the ground.
The chains burned with a searing heat that even he found difficulty in enduring, and no matter how much he struggled, they just wouldn't come off.
"Hahahaha!"
Pulling on the chains, Kenjaku leapt into the air and descended with an fist that smashed right into Kenshin's face, hurling him a few steps back. Before the blue haired youth could even recover, Kenjaku appeared like a ghost and began unleashing terrifying punch kick combos onto his body.
"Almighty Push!!"
Although Kenjaku's punches and kicks did not do immense damage to Kenshin, it still hurt him, and in a fit of rage, he unleashed a bout of powerful repulsive forces that hurled everything within a 5km radius into the distance, as a massive crater formed beneath his feet.
"Amongst all the attacks your Rinnegan can unleash, this by far is the most disgusting and repulsive, but like every technique there is a way to counter…"
Wiping away the blood that flowed from his mouth and nose with an evil grin, Kenjaku moved his hands in tandem, as a malevolent cursed energy materialised like a whip and began to move in harmony with him.
Positioning his arms as if he was about to fire an arrow from a bow, he let out a smile, as the dark black cursed energy shaped itself into an arrow atop his body.
"Maximum cursed technique: Nether Pierce!" The arrow shattered the sound barrier, as everything within a kilometre radius of it began to wither.
'Shit! He's using that technique again?!'
Kenshin instantly panicked, recognising that attack that once put him in a coma for three months. An attack that could bypass his almighty push.
While chained up, he utilised universal pull, hurling his body backwards, however the arrow seemed to follow him wherever he passed.
"No one has ever escaped the nether pierce technique before. Once I use it, the arrow doesn't disappear until the enemy is hit.."
Letting out a laugh, Kenjaku smiled and stretched his back in victory. However his smile turned into a frown, in that instant, as he witnessed a ghost like figure appear between Kenshin and the arrow.
*CLANG!*
Holding onto a short double bladed sword in his hand, the figure slashed out multiple times, instantly destroying the arrow and the chains that bound Kenshin's figure.
"The inverted spear of heaven huh. What a pain. I thought you'd stay out like the dog you are Toji, but this makes it even better."
Sighing he got into a stance and glared at the murderous eyes of the sorcerer killer.
"I'll kill you."
Toji murmured as he summoned the soul splitting katana, while Kenshin summoned his three sectioned staff.
Both of them stood side by side, as they faced off against Kenjaku.
