Xianwu rested his head on his propped elbow, gazing affectionately at Jia Li, who remained deeply asleep. His fingertip gently brushed against her soft cheek, a smile forming on his lips as he admired the ethereal morning beauty. 

The movement of the pad of his finger against her cheek stirred Jia Li up from her sleep and she gradually opened her eyes only to be greeted by her husband's face. 

"Good morning," Jia Li greeted him and snuggled to him. 

Xianwu planted a tender kiss on her forehead. "You're so endearing when you're asleep," he remarked, lightly caressing the bridge of her nose with his fingertip. 

"We're going out today," Xianwu announced.

"Really? Where to?" Jia Li's excitement bubbled up.

"Well, that's a surprise," Xianwu replied mysteriously.

"But is it safe for us to go out?" Jia Li's worry creased her face. "I'm more concerned about your safety. You've unwittingly become a target," she expressed.
