Damian entered Valerie's house, noticing the silence until he found Valerie sitting at the dining table, crying with a bowl of oatmeal in front of her.

He sighed, feeling sad, not expecting his fiancée to suffer again due to misunderstanding and his foolishness. He walked closer and then sat in another chair.

"Where's Daniel?" he asked.

"He goes to the playground with Hans and Hannah!" Valerie replied curtly. "Why are you still coming here?" she asked, wiping her tears, then pushing the bowl of oatmeal away from her.

"I should be here," Damian whispered.

"No, you should be with Karina!" Valerie exclaimed sharply. "She's pregnant, she needs you. You may not love her, you may not feel like you impregnated her, but she's pregnant and it's your child. You should still give her attention because she needs it. Don't make her feel like I did when I was pregnant with Daniel!"
