Kayla's POV

Since that night when Harrison stormed into The Obsidian Pack to rescue me from my father's captivity and personally took me to the hospital, he hasn't had any direct contact with me.

Instead, he assigned Rick to stand guard outside the hospital room day and night, taking care of me and Daisy.

I understand the reason behind Harrison's actions. There's still a burning flame of anger in his heart, a flame I ignited with my own hands, named Daisy's heritage. In other words, he's still mad at me.

Today, Daisy is being discharged from the hospital, and early in the morning, the nurse took her for her final check-up before leaving the hospital.

Amber comes to visit us at the hospital at a set time every day. Today, she asked about my condition.

"Hey, Kayla! Are you feeling better today?"

"Don't worry. It's just some scrapes."

To alleviate her worries, I even extended my hand in front of her.

"See, it's nothing, right? You guys are making a big deal out of it."
