I arrived at the main venue of the wedding.

The waitstaff in black were bustling between long tables and lush floral arrangements. Although the wedding ceremony was still some time away, there were already many guests in elegant attire at the venue.

I guessed that these people were probably close relatives of the Newberry or Rufus families. Having been away from the city of Gorden for so long, I had no recollection of those faces.

Amidst the groups of people chatting away, I, in my bridesmaid dress, felt like an outsider who couldn't quite blend in.

I double-checked the wedding checklist to confirm that everything was in order before leaving the agreed-upon spot and entering the garden maze behind the hall.

Worried about getting my bridesmaid dress dirty, I lowered my head, lifted the hem of my skirt, and carefully inspected every step I took, avoiding being scratched by the untrimmed branches and twigs.
