Selena’s POV

All the guests flooded in our father's direction. I was carried by the crowd, unable to move back, so I had to move forward.

"Stella, Selena, come to me." Our father's voice was amplified several times over the microphone.

But why me?

Someone whispered, "Selena? Who is she?"

Another shrug, "Who knows..."

I carefully avoided the crowd and whispered, "Excuse me..."

They turned away in surprise, displeased at the interruption, and made way for me.

"Hurry up!" Our father pulled me from a distance, and I staggered to his side and stood in position behind him. Stella smiled and stood by our father's side. Our father looked at her with relief and announced:

"Today is my daughter Stella's 18th birthday and I'm sure she'll find her mate soon. As a celebration, I held this banquet for her and invited everyone to witness the coming-of-age ceremony of a young girl, the future heir to the Red Moon Pack. And I have a special gift for her!"
