Kayla's POV
After comforting Amber, I returned to my room with a lingering heaviness in my heart. Before I could even turn on the lights, a deep voice suddenly echoed in the dim room.
"Why are you back so late?"
"Harrison!"
I patted my chest, trying to calm my heart that had nearly jumped out of my throat due to Harrison's sudden presence. With a tone of surprise, I complained to the shadowy figure in the dark, "Please, don't appear in my room so suddenly, okay?"
Afterward, I turned to open the room's light. However, a strong hand grabbed my wrist in the dark.
"Your room? Sweetie, everything here belongs to me, including you."
Harrison pulled me into his embrace. I heard his deep laughter, and I even forgot to ask why he was here.
"During dinner tonight, you heard what Peter said, right?"
I had a moment of distraction, and I couldn't follow Harrison's thought process. "What?"
