Adelaine smiled at the man and immediately entered business mode.
She was inwardly grateful to Blanc for wholeheartedly trusting her with their first business deal. She will make sure to make this a success and earn a lot of money for Resonance village.
"Hello, let me introduce myself again. I'm Adelaine Laurelei, the chairwoman of our Resonance chamber of commerce. Pleased to make your acquaintance sir Jason."
Adelaine gave Jason her cutest smile after her introduction.
"H...Hello chairwoman Adelaine. I'm Jason Stadtfeld, pleased to make your acquaintance."
Even though Jason was a professional team manager, Adelaine's cute smile made him stutter a bit.
Adelaine continued talking and chatted with Jason for a few minutes while waiting for her products to arrive.
She asked little Emma to bring some sample products such as potions, rare herbs, crops, and meat.
After a while, the goods arrived.
*Knock* *Knock*
"Sister Adelaine? I got what you asked for!"
"Oh, little Emma, you can come in!"
Little Emma entered while carrying a box full of goodies.
After she put the box down in the middle of the table, she quickly left.
"So, let's discuss the business deal shall we?"
"Here is our first product, potions."
Adelaine showcased four different colors of potions.
Jason was visibly surprised. Not from the potions themselves but the fact that a small village like this has potions.
Although potions were not super rare, they were expensive. The main ingredient which are the glowing mushrooms were thought to be extinct.
Therefore, the alchemists did their best to find replacement ingredients. As a result, way more herbs and ingredients were needed before potions can be crafted.
This matter made the price of the potions way higher than before the mushrooms went "extinct".
As a comparison, lesser health potions are priced at 25 silver coins each while the other kinds such as lesser stamina potion, lesser physique enhancement potion, and lesser focus potion costs 40 silver coins each.
This made the potions out of reach for normal citizens of a kingdom.
As for the military, only members of elite ranked troops were given potions while greater potions can only be found in the hands of a general or a marshal since its costs were way higher than lesser potions.
Of course, Adelaine knew about the prices of commodities. She studied about it in one of the books given to her by Blanc.
"I can sell lesser health potions to you for 18 silver coins per piece while the other kinds can be sold to you for 33 silver coins each."
Jason's eyes opened wide in disbelief at the prices stated by Adelaine.
Their current supplier of potions sell lesser health potions to them at 22 silver coins a piece while the other kinds were bought for 37 silver coins each.
This gave the Petaldream chamber of commerce 3 silver coins of profit for each potion sold.
Lately though, the Ethereal Elixir Alchemist guild, their current potion suppliers, were making it difficult for them to continue the partnership as they were trying to raise the price of potions by 1 silver coin.
Although 2 silver coins of profit were still not bad, their monthly performance will dwindle and their branch ranking will fall off.
Their branch chairman will definitely not be happy with that so they've been trying to look for solutions regarding potion products in the past month.
The Resonance chamber of commerce gave them a pleasant surprise by solving one of their problems.
"Deal! From now on, the Petaldream chamber of commerce Terravalle branch will only purchase potion supplies from the Resonance chamber of commerce."
Adelaine went wild with joy upon hearing Jason's reply. However, she did not show it.
Actually, the total cost to produce a single potion on their side was 1 silver coin for all four kinds of potion. This is because of the glowing mushrooms which have the properties of multiple rare herbs.
In addition, the process of making the potions is now a lot less harder with the mushrooms as the main ingredient.
"Our pleasure! How many potions will you order for your first batch?"
"For now, we will order 500 lesser health potions and 100 potions of lesser stamina, lesser physique enhancement, and lesser concentration."
"Got it! We shall deliver them by the end of next month."
"Now, shall we move on to the other products?"
"Yes! Absolutely!"
Adelaine decided to let Jason prepare his heart first so the next product she introduced were their agricultural products.
"Here are our crops. As you can see, every single one of them is of way higher quality than those sold in local markets. They can be sold as premium food or be supplied to high quality restaurants."
Jason meticulously checked each crop, fish, and meat.
They were indeed way better in terms of quality! This was on par with the ingredients used by tier 1 gourmet restaurants.
However, after a while, Jason gave Adelaine a helpless smile and said.
"They were indeed way better than local market products. However, I would have to reject this proposal. Currently, we don't have a way to transport such huge amounts of perishable products. Although we have portable freezers, there are only a few. "
"Eternal ice portable freezers are expensive so if we buy too much, we will be operating at a loss. The costs will be way more than our profits so I'm afraid we can't agree to this one."
Adelaine smiled upon hearing Jason's concerns.
"Then, what if I told you that our Resonance chamber of commerce can solve your problem regarding perishable goods forever?"
