Chu Zhiyi returned home around ten o'clock at night.

She carried quite a few shopping bags, filled with newly bought clothes and daily necessities she needed.

Thinking that Yan Jingting had already gone to rest, Chu Zhiyi tiptoed through the door.

Just as she was about to head to her own room, she heard the sound of a wheelchair moving nearby.

Chu Zhiyi got a fright.

Straining her eyes, she realized that Yan Jingting was sitting in the darkness, and because the lights weren't on, she couldn't make out his current expression.

"Mr. Yan, haven't you gone to bed yet?" Chu Zhiyi's hands were sore from carrying things, so she simply set the shopping bags down on the ground.

"You went shopping?"

Chu Zhiyi, somewhat embarrassed, scratched her face, "Yes, the house doesn't have many of my things, so I went to the mall to pick some up."

"Has your face healed?"

"It's fine now, Mr. Yan. The ointment you gave me was really effective; the slap mark on my face faded quickly."
