After Will broke his hug with his brothers, they started walking towards the house, and Sam and Dean kept asking questions about how it went and what exactly he did. Will just smiled at first, then replied after a while, "You boys have to be patient. You will know the details later."
Dean said, "Have I told you that I hate your occasional cryptic answers?"
Will sarcastically replied, "Only once or twice ."
As the boys kept talking with each other, from inside the house the rest of his family came out.
His grandparents looked happy he came back in one piece, and his dad had a smile on his face. Will didn't know how to feel about his father's smile, as the man usually kept his serious poker face on. He could count on both hands the times he had seen him smile, so it was nice and weird at the same time. "I'm just not used to seeing him happy, I guess," Will thought.
"Boy, you grew up nicely since I last saw you," came a voice that drew Will's attention from his father.
"It's nice seeing you as always, Grandpa Bobby," Will joked.
Bobby said, "Boy, the next time you call me grandpa, I will beat you so badly you will be uglier than Dean."
Dean replied, "Hey, what did I do?"
Will said, "Nothing, but that doesn't mean Bobby is not right; I am more handsome than you."
Dean responded, "And how do you know that? You never leave the house."
Dean added, "Chicks would like me more either way."
Will replied, "You keep telling yourself that."
The rest of the family smiled as Will, Bobby, and Dean kept bickering like they always do when the three of them are in the same place.
"OK guys, enough of this for now. I really want to show you something. And I mean all six of you, so pack your bags; we are going on a road trip."
Deanna said, "Will dear, your grandfather and I are old. I think the rest of you can go alone."
Will replied, "Trust me, Grandma, none of you want to miss this."
John asked, "Son, what is this about?"
Will said, "Sorry, Dad, no spoilers; it's a surprise. Don't worry, it is still in Kansas, so it shouldn't take that long."
Bobby said, "There he goes again, like usual, being cryptic. I hate it when he does that."
Dean added, "That's what I said."
After some time, the family got ready, got in the cars, and started driving towards Lebanon, Kansas. As Dean, Sam, and Bobby were in the same car with Will, they kept asking for details about his hunt. But as Will wanted to keep the dragon and its den as a surprise for later, especially for Bobby and his grandparents, as even seasoned hunters like them thought dragons were a myth, he only gave vague answers.
Eventually, the squad made it to the entrance of the bunker.
As soon as they all got out of the cars, Dean complained, "This is your big surprise? It looks like a dump."
Will replied, "I'm sure you will change your mind in just a moment."
Bobby said, "Boy, if this doesn't blow my mind, you are in trouble, making me sit in the car with all three of you idjits all the way here."
Will just rolled his eyes and said to all of them, "Guys, remember, if you don't have this..." He took the key out of his pocket. "You won't be able to get in, and by that, I mean NOTHING can get in unless it has the key. Now let's go in."
After the family got through the door, Sam and Dean's mouths were already open, completely amazed.
Will joked, "Close your mouths, boys. Didn't I tell you, you would like this?"
Will continued, "Welcome to the Man of Letters bunker, or for short, The Bunker."
After Will got the power running immediately, as he remembered where the switch was from the show, the whole family was just silent, marveling at what was in front of them.
Dean exclaimed, "Son of a bitch, this can be our own Batcave! Awesome."
Will said, "My thoughts exactly. So guys, do you think it was worth the trip?"
No one said anything.
John asked, "Son, how do you know about this, and what is this exactly?"
Will replied, "I found the key and a message with a few vague descriptions of the place in the den of the monster I killed. It seemed very legit, so I checked it out and found this. Unfortunately, the message got destroyed in my scuffle with the monster."
Will didn't want to lie to his family, but there are a lot of things capable of reading minds in this world. He always had the feeling he needed to keep his reincarnated identity a secret, especially from Chuck. So he kept most personal things to himself; the fewer people that know, the less chance he has of being found out.
Will said, "So let's take a look at what all this place has to offer, shall we?"
