Adrienne woke up restless before dawn. She glanced outside the window of her room, seeing that the sky was still dark. Mother Wang was to leave any time soon, and she wanted to send her off. 

When she descended the stairs, she found the older woman weeping as she spoke with her brother. From the looks of it, Mother Wang was apologizing to Hunter. They stopped conversing when they noticed Adrienne had arrived. 

"Miss Addie…" Mother Wang looked at her with tears in her eyes. 

"Enjoy your retirement, Mother Wang. Please don't blame yourself anymore. You did what you've done for your son. It's also time for you to spend more time with him." Adrienne replied before looking away. She couldn't bear to look at the older woman's face for too long. She didn't want her decision to let Mother Wang waver.
