Traveling with a dragon was hard but it did have its merits. For one, monsters no longer even attempted to get near the party, so night watches were no longer required.
Yawn… Al awoke fully rested. As had the rest. They hadn't slept like that in a long while.
But that wasn't all. Dragons had innate navigation senses, so she proved to be a better, faster guide and certainly a lot less dangerous one than the old man. A certain old man was quite salty about it but he didn't complain.
And so, Al and the rests' journey went faster than expected. And they arrived at the frontier city of Dalis two weeks earlier than planned.
"If we take a stagecoach from here," the old man said. "We'll arrive in the capital in three days."
