"If father sent troops to pick up Nicholas, would Aslan also come with them? Can I see him later?" the girl asked, making Howland chuckle.

"Of course Aslan will come. He will be a witness to incriminate Prince Nicholas' punishments. You can definitely meet him, but remember! You have to pretend. Both of you are not husband and wife, understand? I will also tell Aslan about this, so that he can understand."

Howland pushed Rosie's head back inside.

"But, how did you tell Aslan? Are you going back to his residence?"

"No. Our father will surely send Aslan a letter of notice regarding Nicholas and his opinion of your marriage. I might also leave a letter to the courier who brought the message from our father."
