"You must accept responsibility for Eveline, and that is final," Richard said, leaving no space for Gabriel to protest.

Gabriel clenched his fist and said, "I will. She will not endure any humiliations, and that is a promise."

Eveline shook her head and gazed at Gabriel through weeping eyes, but before she could reach him, he walked away, leaving her alone.

Following the graduation party, Eveline awoke in her hotel room with none other than Gabriel at her side.

She knew they had been drugged, but Gabriel refused to believe her and blamed her for the whole thing. She tried to explain, but he showed her images of her chatting with one of the waiters about spiked drinks and bringing him to the hotel.

Gabriel knew something was wrong and wanted to tell her about it, but he never imagined the girl he was so eager to meet would be the one to bring him to that state, simply to take advantage of him.
