章節 14: Superpowers
"Let's finish talking about you first." Mo Chenxuan said.
"What's the colour of your other power cores?"
"One is yellow, and the other is metallic silver." Qin Wu answered.
"Yellow is a physical enhancement superpower, but what power?"
Qin Wu fell silent and prodded her core.
A moment later, her eyes widened, and she smiled.
"Auditory enhancement. I can hear everything within a radius of fifty metres."
When he heard this, Mo Chenxuan smiled.
"It's a good power." He said.
"I also think so." Qin Wu nodded.
"If I am not mistaken, the metallic silver is a space-type power core." Mo Chenxuan couldn't help but frown.
After all, Qin Wu already had a portable space.
Awakening a storage space was redundant and disappointing.
However, Qin Wu didn't think so.
"My space power has evolved towards attack instead of storage. I can use a space slash or space collapse in the future." She happily revealed.
Hearing this, Mo Chenxuan was relieved but soon turned solemn.
"Wu'er, it's rare for people to have one superpower, let alone three. You mustn't reveal this information to other people." He warned, and a dark light flashed in his eyes.
Subconsciously, he recalled his previous life.
In the years after he separated from Qin Wu, Mo Chenxuan lived a life worse than death.
It was then he understood that mankind's greatest enemy wasn't the zombies, mutant beasts or mutant plants.
It was other humans.
Humans could inflict the most devastating pain and suffering on each other.
Before he knew it, dark memories flashed across his mind, and Mo Chenxuan clenched his hands.
"Brother Chenxuan..." A soft voice intruded into the dark memories.
A moment later, Mo Chenxuan stared at Qin Wu with a dazed look.
"Brother Chenxuan, are you okay?" Qin Wu asked with worry-filled eyes.
Seeing her concern, Mo Chenxuan was relieved, and the dark memories receded.
"I am fine." He said but pulled the woman into a tight hug.
'Brother Chenxuan, what are you not telling me?' Qin Wu wondered but didn't ask.
Instead, she hugged the man and tried to convey her belief that everything would be fine.
'Brother Chenxuan, I will wait for you to tell me everything.' She thought.
"Wu'er, you must protect yourself from the darkness in people's hearts. Don't trust anyone." Mo Chenxuan said, and Qin Wu laughed.
"Brother Chenxuan, I only trust you. Even if you lead me to hell, I will willingly follow."
"Don't worry, Wu' er. We will be together even if we end up in hell."
A few minutes later, Qin Wu pulled out of the man's arms and looked him in the eyes.
"Brother Chenxuan, I will seal my water superpower."
"What do you mean?"
"From now on, I will only use the space superpower and not the water ability when in public. Only when we are alone will I use the water superpower. Fortunately, the auditory power can be used without other people noticing."
"Good." Mo Chenxuan said.
"It's your turn. How many power cores do you have?"
"One." Mo Chenxuan revealed, and Qin Wu couldn't help but be confused.
After all, she saw Mo Chenxuan use his lightning superpower and spiritual ability.
At the very least, the man should have two power cores.
"I have a grey core." Mo Chenxuan said with a thoughtful face.
"It looks like the grey stone in my second space."
Hearing this, Qin Wu was surprised.
"The grey core gives me an unfathomable feeling, and I haven't been able to figure out how my superpowers will evolve. At the moment, I can detect I have awakened a brain enhancement, lightning ability, and spiritual power. However, I feel this is only the beginning. " Mo Chenxuan said, and Qin Wu sighed.
"Your IQ was already extraordinary without the brain enhancement. I am afraid I won't be able to keep up with you in the future. Will you dislike me? " Qin Wu joked to ease the atmosphere.
"There is nothing you can do to make me dislike you." Mo Chenxuan smiled
When she heard this, Qin Wu nodded but had a solemn face.
"Your second space and grey power core are likely due to your status as the last survivor. They are a gift but also a responsibility." Qin Wu said, subconsciously clenching her hands.
If possible, she didn't want Mo Chenxuan to be so special.
However, he was, and she couldn't do anything about it.
Since he was the person she chose, Qin Wu was willing to accompany the man to live an extraordinary life.
"Brother Chenxuan, please don't tell a third person about your second space and grey power core."
"Don't worry. In this life, you are the only person I trust." Mo Chenxuan said and again pulled the woman into his arms.
After that, the two fell silent.
Hugging Qin Wu gave Mo Chenxuan a sense of safety.
In his previous life, Mo Chenxuan could only meet and hold Qin Wu in his dreams.
Because of this, he always wanted to sleep. Always wanted to close his eyes so that he could watch her image play like a movie on the back of his eyelids.
Unfortunately, reality was cruel.
The more he wanted to sleep, the more he couldn't sleep.
'Wu' er, will you be scared if you know how desperately I need you? How obsessive my love for you is? ' Mo Chenxuan wondered.
However, like attracted like.
Qin Wu's obsession was no less than Mo Chenxuan's.
Although she didn't show it, Qin Wu felt a sense of crisis.
In her previous life, she and Mo Chenxuan separated after just three years.

After waking up, the two left the space.
