"I remember every first birthday, the birthday boy made the choice of his favourite stuff which determines his future career" Fred interrupted.
"you're right. Daichi hasn't done it" Michelle said. It was the Feng'd family tradition when a little one passed his first year milestone.
"Lets do it now" Alice placed calculator, aeroplane toys, book and pencil infront of Daichi.
"Wait !!" Alan added lollipop.
Sean got a naugthy idea. He took one of Cacha dolls and put it on front of the birthday boy.
Grandpa Anderson joined the fun by adding dollar notes.
"Hold on second " Josh took the water gun from Hugh then place it in front of Daichi.
"Anything else ?" Nick made last call.
Since no one added more, Alice patted the boys head "Come one sweetheart, choose one of them"
" What are they doing ?" Sakura asked.
"It's our tradition to let baby choose his favourite goods on his first birthday. It's believed that it will determine his future" Cacha explained.
Daichi understood his aunty command. He examined everything thing in front of him.
"Don't get the dool" Kenichi shouted.
"You shut up. Let him choose, parents shouldn't intervene their kid future" Sean grinned.
Daichi had hardtime to choose. He looked at his father for clue then his mother.
Nick grinned "Come one boy. Don't worry about your dad. Choose what ever you want"
Daichi did not like the doll because mummy cuddled it alot. He took the doll and threw it away.
"That's my boy" Kenichi said proudly. while the rest were laughing.
Michelle kneeled next to Daichi "Come one baby choose one"
Daichi made up his mind. He took the money and the calculator but his eyes were still on the gun.
"Money and calculator. well done.. he's really Anderson" Grandma laughed happily.
He looked around to find out if he still could have another one. He made up his mind. He loved the gun. Cousins brother always played happily with the gun. He wanted it too so he grabbed the water gun.
"wait.. Daichi took another one" Alan exclaimed.
"Money and calculator.. he may be become a successful business man with alot of money.. But how about gun ?" Fred asked.
"Mafia" Josh was joking.
"No.. policeman" Michelled said.
Kenichi touched his nose while Grandpa coughed lightly. Well, Anderson blood was really in Daichi's vein. He most likely became businessman plus mafia leader, just like his father and Great grand father.
Sakura was gladly reported home the fact that Daichi chose gun. The whole organisation members were very joyfull and they spontaneously held a celebration.
Of course Kenichi was kept in the dark about this celebration.Since the nursery accident, they had new group which excluded the boss to share any gossip related to boss.
Two days after Daichi birthday, Andrew called Kenichi for help. Their branch in US faced some trouble. He supposed to go there to check and fix the problem but he had important meeting in Europe. Since Richie was too young and not enough experience, he asked Kenichi to come.
"I'll discuss with my wife first. I'll let you know tonight" Kenichi did not decide right away.
"Darling, what's the matter ? is everything okay " Cacha asked since Kenichi looked in trouble after the call
"Dad asked me to go to US. His company has some problem there"
"Then go and help him"
"Are you okay if I go now ?"
She nodded "You won't go for longtime, right? "
"I don't know how serious the problem is, It may take at least a week"
"Well, I'm going to miss you but work is also important"
He smiled " But I don't want to be apart from you. How about if you go with me to US ?"
Mr and Mrs Feng, who were also in the living room with them smiled and shook their head. This son in law of them was really different.
She had a though for seconds "I love too. But, sister Aoi has been seperated from brother Koji for long time. It's not fair for them. Anyway, Daichi and me will only distrube your work. Just do your best and come home as earlier as you can"
He pulled her to his embrace and signed "mm.. I'll come home soon. Babe, you and Daichi just stay here until I finish there. I'll come and pick you up"
"When are you going to fly there ?"
"Dad wants me to fly there tomorrow. I guess I'll fly the day after tomorrow"
"Can you come with me to my school reunion tomorrow then ?"
"Sure think" Kenichi agreed in no time. He did not like to go to any gathering but she hardly asked him to meet her friends. Infact, this was her first time to meet her friends after she followed him.
Furthermore he did not want to meet her old friends alone. He did not like to imagine that another man took initiative to approach her. She did not look like a mother at all.
"Babe, I asked brothers to find out if the house owner next door wish to sell there house. Can you remind them again"
"Why ? are you going to buy it ?"
"yes but not in rush"
"What for ? you don't live here so you don't need to buy any house" Mr Feng could not help but asked.
Kenichi and Cacha startled. They thought only two of them where on the living rooms.
Mr and Mr Feng sat down on the sofa. Mrs Feng signed "Your dad is right. If you come home, just stay here with us. we have alot of empty rooms here"
"Sasha and her husband have their own but no one there. They just end up waste money to pay for the house maintenance" Mr Feng added.
Cacha looked at Kenichi for the answer. She also agreed with her parents opinion. Kenichi smiled "Dad, Mum. we'll definitely stay here when we come home. We need the house for our helper. Next time when we come back here, there will be a little girl. So, not Sakura and Aoi will come with us, we may add few more people to help withthe kids"
Mr and Mrs Feng were speechless. They were hundred percent sure that Kenichi would hire more helper if they had more child. One child, he organised two nannies for Cacha. If they had two children, at least they needed four rooms for helpers. They indeed had not enough rooms there.
"Well.. up to you then" Mrs Feng peeped on her youngest children. This girl was very lucky to have such a good husband. She was sorry for her daughters in law who were doing very tough to raise their children alone without nanny.
