Swoosh
The sound of a wooden sword slicing through the air echoed in the forest as Xi Ming swung his wooden sword again and again, trying to perfect the form Ye Jin had taught him.
Ever since he agreed to train with Ye Jin, she had taught him many things—from armed combat, to the use of a sword, and, interestingly enough, how to read. She would sometimes bring up discussions about the feudal system, irrigation systems, taxes, and the strength of the Xi Dynasty. At first, he thought it was because she had run out of things to talk about, but how could things be so simple? It seemed almost like she wanted him to know these things.
But why?
Even if she wasn't the original Ye Jin, which explained how she could teach all these things—strange enough as that was—was there any reason for her to tell him?
"Stop," Ye Jin's voice rang out.
