As Kian walked to his quarters with Xiaoshu, he asked:

"Did you know private Bei before today?"

Kian answered:

"I didn't. For some reason, Shaotian has it out for me."

Xiaoshu said:

"You should call him private Bei, I feel it will make him angrier if you don't."

Kian smiled.

"I don't have to, since I'm just a recruit right now. I know every rule of Bei Academy."

Xiaoshu smiled and asked:

"Aren't you afraid of him?"

Kian said:

"It's true that his spiritual force is overwhelming. I don't like it, it makes me feel uncomfortable. But I'm more impulsive than scared, so I tend to say things others wouldn't."

Xiaoshu smiled and said:

"I'll help you with that."

Kian smiled.

"Deal."

When they reached their quarters, Kian asked:

"Do you want to meet in the simulation room in 30 minutes to train?"

Xiaoshu nodded.

"I'll knock on your door in 30."

"Okay."
