"Let us eat first, shall we?" Carina butts in before something happens any further.

The whole room was silent for a while, except for the sharp sounds of utensils. Everyone could feel how strained the atmosphere was, so none of them wanted to talk, except for those who have an incredible will.

Carina's eyes leveled on Wynter who was trying her best not to get affected by how suffocating it was. She watched how she moved with an air of poise and confidence as a small smile appeared on her lips. 

"I hope you are enjoying the food so far, Miss Wynter," she then voiced out with a welcoming tone.

The latter turned her attention to the older woman and offered a pleasing smile. Wynter noticed how the lady acted during this whole thing, graceful and queenly. She has the same timeless beauty, with her butterscotch hair that was graying on some areas, and some noticeable wrinkles on the sides of her eyes. She was beautiful.
