A month passed and I managed to push the strange mystery behind Elle's identity at the back of my mind for the meantime and focused on more important things. Like telling the good news to my mom which I know I should have done from the start but here we are. She did sulk afterward, for the reason that I kept my pregnancy a secret to her for so long.

She didn't even get to congratulate me firsthand and then she just found me standing in front of her porch with a swelling tummy. I swear she looked like she just saw a ghost or something.

Nevertheless, she did cry tears of joy when she saw me again. And because I am heavily pregnant and had crazy hormones, I cried along with her. It was a spectacle of two bawling women as if we only got reunited now after years of separation, and I'm pretty sure we both looked strange to outsiders.
