章節 77: Princess Treatment Season 147 - Episode 703: "Miss Royal Pageant"

The morning sun shone through the stained-glass windows of the palace, its multi-colored light dancing across the polished marble floors. Prince Cedric was being fitted for a new suit in his chambers when a servant arrived with an urgent message. "The King requests your presence in the throne room at once, Your Highness," said the servant, bowing respectfully. Cedric knew better than to keep the King waiting. He dismissed the tailor with thanks and made haste to the throne room, straightening his coat as he walked.

When Cedric entered the throne room, he found King Maximus seated upon his glittering gold throne, speaking in hushed tones with his advisor. The King turned at the sound of Cedric's footsteps. "Ah, Prince Cedric. Thank you for coming so promptly." Cedric bowed deeply. "You summoned me, Your Majesty? What can I do for you?" The King rose from his throne and descended the dais. "I have an important mission for you, my boy. As you know, our neighboring kingdoms have faced hard times of late. Kingdoms that were once our allies now struggle with famine and turmoil."

The King gestured for Cedric to follow as he strode toward the floor-to-ceiling windows. From there, they gazed out over the sprawling city below, its colorful spires rising proudly into the sky. "I am sending envoys to our friends with offerings of food, medicine, and other supplies. But more is needed - we must form new alliances and strengthen the old. That is where you come in." Cedric listened intently, wondering what special task the King had in mind for him. "I want you to travel to the kingdoms of our allies and make formal proposals of support. Win over their approval with your charm and diplomacy. Can I count on you for this vital mission?" Cedric squared his shoulders, meeting the King's expectant gaze. "You can count on me, Your Majesty. I will not fail you."

And so it was that later that morning, Prince Cedric found himself riding atop his trusted steed, setting off on the beginning of a long diplomatic journey. His entourage followed close behind with carriages bearing gifts of goodwill. As his horse's hooves clopped rhythmically along the cobblestone road leading from the city, Cedric's thoughts turned to the task ahead. Winning the approval of neighboring kings and securing new alliances would not be easy. Each kingdom had its own complex political dynamics that he would need to carefully navigate. As the highest-ranking member of the delegation, the weight of responsibility fell heaviest on his shoulders. He could only hope that his skills in conversation and persuasion would serve him well.

After several days of travel, Cedric's caravan arrived at the borders of the Kingdom of Marigold. Rolling green hills strewn with wildflowers greeted them as far as the eye could see. In the distance, the white stone towers of Marigold's royal city shone like a jewel amidst the countryside. Cedric spurred his horse into a brisk canter, eager now to begin his diplomatic work. Upon arriving at the city gates, they were welcomed by Prince Damian, Marigold's heir apparent. "Greetings, Prince Cedric! What an honor it is to receive visitors from Astoria today. The King awaits you in the castle - this way, please." Damian escorted their procession through the bustling streets and into the inner courtyard of the palace...

News of Prince Cedric's successful diplomatic mission in Marigold had spread throughout the kingdom. As he returned to the royal palace, Cedric was greeted with smiles and congratulations. Though tired from his travels, Cedric was eager to give King Maximus a full report.

In the throne room, Cedric recounted his meetings with King Ferdinand and how their new trade agreement would strengthen ties between their nations. "Well done, my boy!" boomed the King. "I knew I could count on your skills." But their victory was short-lived.

Prince Damian, who had hosted Cedric's visit, soon arrived with unsettling news. It seemed during a hunt, Damian had overheard Prince Lucius plotting against King Ferdinand. Lucius aimed to dethrone his uncle and seize power. Though no friend of Cedric's, Damian wished to warn them and uphold his kingdom's new alliance.

King Maximus called an emergency meeting with his advisors. Tensions were rising as Lucius gathered support. To distract the kingdoms, the King declared it was time for their annual "Miss Royal Pageant." All available princesses would compete for the crown. While rivalry and intrigue followed the princesses, the King hoped diplomatic relations could be strengthened through new bonds of friendship.

The pageant preparations began in earnest. Which princess would be crowned the next queen and take her rightful place in protecting their united kingdoms?

The royal palace was bustling with excitement as princesses from across the land arrived for the pageant. Princess Arabella was attending for the third year, hoping this would finally be her year to win the crown. She caught up with her friend Princess Seraphina, who was making her pageant debut.

As the princesses mingled in the courtyard, tensions were brewing between some rivals. Princess Amelia spotted Princess Amara flirting with Prince Elias, who Amelia had her sights set on winning. Elsewhere, Princess Victoria was boasting loudly about how she would crush the competition, irking the more modest contestants.

King Maximus greeted the princesses and welcomed them to the palace. "May the best princess win!" he declared. The challenges would test their poise, talent, and wit. First up was the evening gown competition, where princesses paraded their finest dresses. Arabella and Amara were among the frontrunners based on their elegant style.

Later at the talent show, Seraphina impressed with her singing while Alexandrea showed off her dancing skills. However, during Victoria's magic act, things went awry when her rabbit disappeared - with suspicions falling on her scheming brother Prince Damian!

Tune in for more royal drama as the pageant continues! Which princess will take the ultimate crown?

As the day of the pageant finals arrived, tensions were high. During rehearsals, an "accident" left Princess Amara's prized tiara broken. She suspected sabotage from rivals like Princess Amelia.

That evening, the ballroom glittered as princesses took their places on stage. First was the question round, testing their poise under pressure. When asked her views on diplomacy, Princess Arabella dazzled with nuanced thoughts.

But when Victoria took the stage, she laughed off inquiries into policy as "boring." The judges cringed at her arrogance. Next, Princess Olivia provided thoughtful answers on strengthening alliances.

The final challenge was the heartfelt speech. Arabella spoke movingly of uniting their kingdoms. Seraphina advocated for the people with quiet passion. But when it was Amara's turn, she broke down in tears - someone had tampered with her notes!

As murmurs grew, King Maximus called for order. "This unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated," he declared. All eyes turned suspectingly toward Victoria and her villainous brother Damian. Who would overcome such treachery to claim the crown?

As the pageant drew to a close, tensions were at an all-time high. King Maximus announced the judges would now select the winner. The three finalists were Princesses Arabella, Amara and Olivia - but who would claim victory?

The judges deliberated in private. Meanwhile, Arabella comforted a tearful Amara backstage. Both were shocked to discover Victoria trying to steal Arabella's prized necklace! A fight broke out between the rivals.

Just then, Prince Damian emerged with a sneer. "You won't get away with sabotaging the others," Arabella warned. Damian laughed darkly and pulled out a compromising letter. "My blackmail ensured I got what I wanted..."

His chilling words made it all too clear - Damian had orchestrated the acts of sabotage against the princesses! Before the shocked royalty, Damian confessed to his treachery. But justice would be served, as King Maximus had Damian arrested.

At last, the moment of truth. In a dazzling ceremony, the winner was announced as Princess Amara! Despite the troubles, her spirit and grace had won over the judges. Arabella and Olivia gracefully accepted second and third place. Together, the princesses looked forward to a bright future of unity and friendship.
