章節 48: "Your secret is out..."

  As the days to the intended meeting neared, Myra became more and more anxious. Sanchit could quite understand the reason for her uneasiness.

"What did you tell her?" he asked of Aryaman, "She has been panicky ever since she found out about your trip here."

Aryaman smiled, "It's nothing that can be helped. It's just one of those things…you know between people."

"What things? Would you mind being explicit?" Sanchit insisted.

"I don't think you want to know. It's all the boring stuff from the past... it has been accumulating for so long…it's about time we put an end to it."

Sanchit still had trouble understanding all of this. Nonetheless, he said, "Is it something from your childhood?"

"It's a promise I made her long back," Aryaman explained.

Sanchit wondered aloud, "Why would that upset her?"

"That's what I want to know too!" Aryaman exclaimed.
