"So, we have a deal…don't we, Alpha Noah?" Alpha Jax asked my father.

"Of course, Alpha Jax" Dad answered.

Jax Reign.

Everyone says he is the embodiment of evil and ruthlessness.

He is one of the few people that came close to rivaling dear old Dad as a killing machine yet he looked like a regular looking Joe. There was nothing exceptional about him.

"Wonderful!" Jax exclaimed "Then it is settled, our packs will be tied by marriage!"

"Not so fast, Jax" Dad said and smiled. It was those smiles that we all dreaded, the type that said he was about to checkmate you in your own game.

"What?" Jax asked.

"I'm not about to force your niece into a marriage with me. This marriage will hold only if Millicent says so and must do so without threat from you. So, what do you say, Millie?"

I watched Millicent Reign walk out of the inner room with a packed bag for some reason and a bright smile.
