Lucious 's POV

I sat on the edge of a cliff. My feet dangling like it had no care in the world and my head was devoid of thoughts on purpose until it wasn't.

I closed my eyes, desperate to return to the tranquility I crave for but even though I stopped the thoughts of Elias and Anna from running through my head…all I thought about was Carlysa.

I tried to imagine what was going through my dead mother's head on the day she died.

What was the last thought that went through Luna Carlysa's head before she took that final step off this particular edge and fell to her death.

Was it fear? How afraid was she when she took the leap?

I shudder a little bit, desperate not to think of it.

I listened as someone approached me.

I felt her presence even before I knew who was coming up behind me.

I turned my head slightly to the right, just saw her from the corner of my eyes.
