Owen's Pov 

I closed the door to the twin's room but not before I watched them for a minute or two. 

I focused on my daughter. Her little body safely tucked inside the blanket. She was taking a nap after a well deserved meal and bath.

It was our first sleepover and I was already finding it extremely difficult to hand them over to Waylen and Emily tomorrow.

Right now, I was finding it difficult to let them out of my sight, I wanted to keep them safe from the monsters and demons of the world, except it was impossible to keep watch over them every minute of the day, not when I am going to be a world away from them most of the time.

No. I have to do something. I have to convince Emily to let me take them. No one would fight harder to keep them loved and safe like me. 

I am their Dad for fuck's sake but thanks to Luna Elise I am stuck being Uncle Owen to two kids that should have my name…kids that have my blood.
