I leaned against the railing. I was holding a glass of ice brandy. I had no idea what time it was but I know for the past half an hour I have been staring at nothing in particular… just lost in my thoughts.

 It's like whenever I think things couldn't get any worse the universe proves me wrong. And I know I should be with my wife trying to know what her feelings were or at least trying to get to know what she's going through right this moment but having these thoughts racing through my head….having these feelings I couldn't decipher yet…. this feeling that was making my blood boil like a tar pit….this anger I couldn't get out of my system, I couldn't help Emily…at least, not feeling like this.
