The two did their battle cry as they once again charge at each other.
"Use Fury Cutter!" Tobi commanded with a serious face.
He was just measuring Charmeleon's strength earlier and realized this won't be an easy fight.
Scyther was slightly weaker than Charmeleon but due to the Aptitude gap, he could still compete at the same level as Charmeleon.
Scyther's hands were covered by a pale gray aura.
Charmeleon noticed Scyther making a move as he also cast his own.
A fire appeared in his mouth but not like his earlier move Flamethrower, the fire covered Charmeleon's fang.
He charged toward Scyther with a biting motion.
Scyther then slashes his two hands releasing gray pigment projectile.

Three
Four
Five
Five projectiles consecutively escape Scyther's hand and went straight onto the charging Charmeleon!
Charmeleon caught all of Scyther's slashes as five wounds appeared in his body; namely one in the neck, two on his left shoulder, and each of his legs.
But Charmeleon was like a raging bull, Scyther's Fury Cutter didn't slow him down even a bit but just became a fuel as he got even faster!
Charmeleon soon reached Scyther who didn't have time to dodge.
"Protect!" Tobi who didn't have much time simply said the move.
Scyther reacted quickly as he cast Protect around him.
A transparent sphere enveloped Scyther's whole body.
Charmeleon's Fire Fang and Scyther's Protect clash as Scyther's Protect only manage to delay Charmeleon's Fire Fang by a second before breaking down.
Because Scyther cast the move in a hurry and with little time, Tobi wasn't surprised that it easily break.
But it was enough, a second was enough for Scyther who possesses an amazing speed to duck, dodging Charmeleon's Fang.
"Finish him, X Scissor!" Tobi immediately grasped the opportunity.
Scyther raises his two hands as he slashed Charmeleon's torso in an X pattern.
A large 'X' wound appeared in his torso as he continues flying forward due to the momentum of his charging.
All of this happened in just a few seconds as even Professor Oak and Charizard were dumbfounded at the sudden end of the fight.
Or so they thought.
Charmeleon who was supposed to be out of consciousness by now stood up with a burning will to continue fighting.
{Should we step in and stop the fight?} Professor Oak asked his friend whether to stop the fight but Charizard shook his head and declined.
Professor Oak silently stared at Charizard's face, {....well if you say so} He simply said as he move his head back onto Tobi and Charmeleon.
Charmeleon opened his mouth and took a deep breath as fire from the surroundings entered his mouth to the point where his chest swell.
*Thump!* *Thump!*
Charmeleon's heart was beating so loud Tobi and Professor Oak could hear it.
Charmeleon then absorb the fire he swallowed earlier as his body fired up literally.
His body was covered by flames almost reaching double his size.
'Blaze but much stronger!' Professor Oak silently thought recognizing Charmeleon's move.
Tobi on the other hand just watch all of this unfold and didn't dare to interrupt Charmeleon especially since Charizard was watching.
It's common knowledge between trainers that Pokemon shouldn't be attacked in the middle of evolution and even though Tobi was sure Charmeleon wasn't evolving, it's better to be sure than sorry.
*ROAR!!*
Charmeleon roared trying to intimidate Scyther but was ineffective as it only cause Scyther to be cautious.
Charmeleon seems pissed seeing Scyther not being intimidated as he spits a flamethrower in his direction.
Charmeleon only took half about the time he needed to cast Flamethrower compared earlier but unfortunately, the distance between the two was wide enough for Scyther to dodge before the flame reached him.
"Scyther, use Sword Dance!" Tobi commanded seeing the distance between the two was enough for Scyther to get ready.
Scyther did some weird motions with his hands after hearing Tobi's command.
Charmeleon also perceives Scyther's plan as he tried to stop him but they are 5 meters apart.
He was already late as Scyther finished casting Sword Dance as soon as he got closer.
Charmeleon got even more pissed as he cast another Flamethrower on Scyther.
Charmeleon spit the Flamethrower which was stronger and bigger than before as it swallow Scyther's current location.
But before Charmeleon could have time to be happy, he heard a bug buzzing above him and saw Scyther who was looking at him with a smirk on his face.
Vein appeared in Charmeleon's face in great anger as he slowly lose control of himself and began wreaking havoc around the place.
Scyther came back in front of Tobi making sure he won't be hit by Charmeleon's Flamethrower who is currently losing his consciousness.
'His strength, agility, and endurance were much strengthened than before but he also loses his control in himself.' Tobi silently thought understanding Charmeleon's current condition.
Professor Oak also has the same thought as his interest was caught by the Charmeleon's peculiar condition.
{Has this happened before?} He asked his friend who was standing beside him.
{No, this is the first time.} Charizard answered.
{Should we stop the fight?} It was now Charizard's turn to ask.
Professor Oak gently shook his head, {Let's see how he handle this situation} He stated while carefully observing the match.
"Scyt?" Scyther asked his trainer what he should do next.
Tobi didn't answer immediately as he fell into deep thought.
'Scyther can't deal with Charmeleon in his current state, we need to strengthen first.' Tobi silently thought as he move his head in Professor Oak and Charizard's direction.
'Aren't they planning to make a move?' Tobi thought but quickly came back to reality as he doesn't have much time to think about useless things.
"Scyther, spam Sword Dance! Get ready for round 2!" Tobi shouted pumping Scyther more as he instantly obeyed and cast Sword Dance.
Fortunately, Charmeleon was out of his mind meaning Scyther could buff himself as long as he wants without disturbance.
