"Woah, this place was much bigger than the last time I saw it." Daisy commented while staring at an enormous building in front of her.
"Hah..hah...hah a lot of things change when you were gone." Blue stated while gasping for air.
The three, Daisy, Tobi, and Blue, were currently standing in front of Professor Oak's Lab which was vastly different compared to the game.
The lab was extremely huge and has a huge fence enclosing the whole area where a bunch of Kanto Pokemon species could be found.
"Let's go inside." Daisy propose while the other two agreed nonchalantly as they head inside the lab.
"Hello miss Daisy, mister Blue." A bodyguard who was standing in front of the gate greeted Daisy and Blue with a small and polite bow.
The two responded by giving a slight bow and that was it, they shortly entered the lab as soon as the guard opened the gate.
On their way, they encounter a bunch of other scientists who greeted them with respect.
But that didn't slow them down as they soon reach Professor Oak's Lab where he was waiting.
*Knock* *knock* *knock*
Daisy knock on the door which was an etiquette she and his brother were taught.
"Come in" Professor Oak's voice could be heard saying inside the room.
Getting permission, Daisy opened the Door as she, Blue, and Tobi entered the room.
" *cough* welcome, come sit down for a minute." Professor Oak coughed and said to Daisy who was mad furious.
"Hmph!" Daisy pouted but still comply as she sat down at the couch in front of Professor Oak's desk.
Seeing Daisy sitting down, Tobi and Blue also decided to sit down as they sit beside Daisy.
"Where are my Pokemon?!" Daisy said furiously as she throw a tantrum like a child.
"It's in the yard." Professor Oak stated trying to remain calm but a hint of fear could be perceived in his voice.
"Let's go to the yard then." Daisy stated as she stood up.
They all went outside the lab through the back door where rarer pokemons lives.
"What Pokemon do you like?" Professor Oak asked Daisy.
Honestly, she also doesn't know what she wanted so she fell into a deep thought thinking about it.
Tobi on the other hand was secretly appraising each pokemons they come across and he was shocked!
The average Aptitude a pokemon possessed here was Light Green while some even exceed the Green stage and reached Red.
To put it into perspective, a yellow aptitude was one in a five hundred, green was much rarer being one in a ten thousand, Red was one in a hundred thousand and Blue was one in a million.
If not for Tobi's system, he might also find it hard to catch a high aptitude pokemon since there is no device yet that can be man carry that tell a pokemon's aptitude.
It could be seen how much effort Professor Oak put in gathering high aptitude pokemons.
Nonetheless, Professor Oak, Blue, and Daisy didn't notice Tobi observing every corner of the place.
"I'd like an Eevee!" Daisy shouted as she finally decided what pokemon she'd like.
"An Eevee huh? right this way." Professor Oak stated as he lead Daisy and the others to a certain part of the yard.
"I'm, can I ask? where are we going?" Tobi was curious as he asked with a polite tone?
"This place has a lot of various pokemons and each has their different inhabitant, This yard was separated into different parts where a ton of pokemon could live." Professor Oak explains thoroughly without a single hesitation that Tobi might use this information for bad things.
In all of the major cities and towns in the Kanto region, Pallet Town could be said to be the most secure place as many powerful retired trainers lived here plus Samuel Oak's (Professor Oak's real name) pokemon, no one dared to attack Pallet Town.
Soon, they arrived in a normal garden with a lot of Eevee playing around.
Reeve was an adaptable pokemon meaning they don't need a specific place to live like some other pokemons.
"Wow! So many Eevee!" Blue commented as his eyes sparkled.
Since Blue was still deemed young being only a 7 years old kid, Professor Oak and his mother didn't let him have any interaction with pokemons which just greatly heighten his love and interest in Pokemon.
"Not so close young man." Daisy said as she grabbed his collar and scolded Blue just like how an older sister scolded her younger brother.
"Let's get closer so you could choose wisely who you wanna take with you." Professor Oak proposes as they all walk closer to the Eevees who was just minding their own business.
"Ku~" The Eevee was confused at Professor Oak's and others' arrival but continued playing around.
"What would do you like?" Professor Oak asked Daisy as they were sitting on a bench not far away from the Eevees' location.
"Ah, they're all so cute! I can't decide!" Daisy was having a hard time choosing as the Eevees all looked the same!
"It's ok, just take your time. Choose wisely." Professor Oak suggested as he wants his granddaughter to pick someone talented but at the same time, he also doesn't want to help her.
"What do you think Tobi? you're a trainer so you must be experienced with this." After a while of brainstorming, Daisy still couldn't decide as she no longer hesitate and asked Tobi for advice.
Professor Oak's eyes glint for a splits second but quickly disappeared, he was also interested in Tobi's talent as a trainer.
"Hmmm..." Tobi felt into deep thought as he was holding his chin while thinking or more of a busy appraising each of the Eevee he could see.
"How about that one." Tobi stated while pointing at a certain Eevee who was doing something odd compared to the other Eevee.
The Eevee Tobi was pointing at was running around in circles as if he was training, yes! training!
Professor Oak's eyes gleam seeing the Eevee Tobi suggested as it was also the one he wished Daisy choose.
The training Eevee might not be the highest potential Eevee present but its attitude is what makes it special.
"That? are you sure?" Daisy asked once again to be sure.
"Yes, but it's just a suggestion and I might be wrong." Tobi said with a bit of uncertainty of whether he chose the right pokemon or not.
Hearing Tobi, Daisy stood up and walk closer to the training Eevee.
It stops at its track noticing Daisy coming closer as it looks toward her with confusion.
"You're so cute!" Daisy exclaimed deeming its confused look as so cute as she pounce onto the poor Eevee and tightly hugged it.
"So you've decided huh?" Professor Oak asked even though he already knew what Daisy would answer.
"Yes! I want this Eevee!" Daisy exclaimed while raising the poor Eevee in the sky.
"It's decided then, take this." Professor Oak stated as he throw an empty Pokeball at Daisy.
"Will you be my pokemon?" Daisy didn't forget to ask the Eevee for its consent before officially catching it.
"Ku!" Even though was confused, Eevee wasn't dumb and finally understand what was going on, it answer happily as it gently presses the Pokeball button using its head.
Meanwhile, as Daisy was asking Eevee's consent, Professor Oak was glaring at Tobi while in deep thought which makes Tobi uncomfortable.
'This young man has extreme talent as a trainer, I could feel it.' Professor Oak praised Tobi in his mind and was one hundred percent certain that his path won't be a simple one.
'Is he starting to doubt me?' Tobi on the other hand thought that Professor Oak has finally become wary of him as a bead of sweat dripped on his forehead.
