### Chapter 1: The Awakening
**Leon's POV**
Leon's eyes fluttered open, and he was immediately blinded by the sunlight streaming into the room. He blinked a few times, disoriented. The last thing he remembered was the blaring horn of a truck and the sudden impact. He should have been dead, but here he was, very much alive.
He sat up, looking around the room. It was familiar yet foreign. Recognition struck him like a thunderbolt—he was in Ash Ketchum's room from the Pokémon series. How was this possible?
As he tried to make sense of his surroundings, a voice echoed inside his head.
**System:** "Welcome, Host. You have been reincarnated as Ash Ketchum. I am the System, here to assist you in achieving your dream of becoming the best Pokémon Master in this world."
Leon's heart raced. This felt surreal. Was this a dream? A system, like in those novels and games he adored? He pinched himself and winced at the sharp pain. It was real. His initial fear was quickly replaced by excitement. Clenching his fist, he realized that living as Ash meant he could achieve his dreams and perhaps even form a harem of beautiful trainers.
"This is amazing," Leon whispered, a grin spreading across his face. "Wait, calling you 'System' feels weird. Do you have a name?"
**System:** "I don't have a name host but if you wish then you can give me name ."
"Hmm then I'll call you ava and also no need to call me host it feels quite formal so you can just call me leon or now ash I suppose," ash said, nodding. He started daydreaming about his new life, the journey ahead, and the potential harem. But Ava's voice cut through his thoughts.
**Ava:** "Thank you ash but I think you should hurry up because today is the day you are supposed to receive your first Pokémon from Professor Oak. The scheduled time was at 7:30 AM. It is now 7:55 AM."
Panic surged through Ash. He remembered the first episode of the anime where Ash was late and ended up with Pikachu , not that he minded Pikachu but he thought it would be better to choose a different Pokemon this time. He had to get there fast.
"Damn it!" he cursed, leaping out of bed. He dashed downstairs without even thinking of changing out of his pajamas.
As he reached the door, he heard Delia Ketchum's voice. "Ash, don't forget to change your clothes!"
But Ash didn't stop. "No time, Mom!" he shouted back, sprinting out the door towards Professor Oak's lab.
**Ash's POV**
Ash—or rather, Leon now in Ash's body—ran through the familiar streets of Pallet Town, his heart pounding. This was it, the start of his Pokémon journey. As he neared the lab, he spotted a crowd of cheerleaders surrounding someone.
It was Gary Oak, Ash's childhood rival. Gary had just received his first Pokémon and was basking in the adoration of his fans. He looked up and saw Ash, smirking.
"Well, well, if it isn't Ashy-boy! Running late as usual, huh? I already got my Pokémon, and I'll be sure to win the Pokémon League before you even get started."
Ash clenched his fists but forced a calm expression. "We'll see about that, Gary."
Without wasting any more time, Ash sprinted past Gary and the cheerleaders, heading straight into Professor Oak's lab.
