章節 31: Dance

"Do you know how to dance?" 

I blinked, smiling, "I'm sure I can keep up!" I was earnest. I had always wanted to dance. 

Ever since I was a child, I had peaked inside the glorious ballroom to see the marvelous swish of skirts against the tiles. I heard the music and the jovial romanticism. I was envious of every woman that got offered a dance. They looked effortlessly graceful with their lovely smiles and bejeweled dress. No one had ever offered me a hand to dance. Richter didn't answer. He preferred to sit, simply tangling his fingers in the kismet of blonde hair. 

Carlisle frowned and I instantly went to apologize before he silenced me. A soft finger pressed against my plush lips. It was as if he knew that I was about to speak and he didn't want to hear it. I was surprised.
