章節 41: Interlude - Cinder rain
In the smoking ruins of Black Port rained cinder.
The bloody captain that had caused the massacre was nowhere to be seen, she had set sail towards her next destination on a path filled with blood. But even so, some disgusting people were already looting the smoldering ruins, trying to earn some coin, anything from the debris, after all, many of the buccaneers here had some fortunes that must be buried under the ruble.
"Hahaha!" Laughed a bandit smiling happily cutting a deadman finger to take a ring "We have never made so much money doing so few!"
"Yeah!" Cheered some of his comrades.
Since they arrived at this place, they have collected at least two full boxes of gems and gold, even if some was smelted, it was just a matter of fixing it, they were going to be rich and maybe they would be able to leave this bandit life and live the life of a rich bastard in some city.
'Women! Booze! Violence!' He thought he could have it all without the repercussions of being nasty and rich.
"Woooooooooooh!!" He roared into the air, he expected his companions to cheer with him, they all shared the same ambitions, but only silence greeted him, he didn't pay much attention, after all, he found another one, a big ruby on the hands of an ugly hag that had died crushed by a wall...
"Hell yeah, boys today we eat meat as dinner!" He said laughing like an idiot at his tasteless joke, but again he was only met with silence "Hey bastards I'm talking to you!"
He turned around a girl sitting on a pile of rubble, she was humming a strange tune. She had sexy curves, but she had these lame black clothes.
"He" He laughed again like an idiot and savored his lips while walking toward her "He he he" Then he fixed his hair, it was a mess, his breath was rotten and his beard was badly cut, but even so he felt all-powerful with this much resources "Hey babe," He said looking at her with the look of a horny bastard.
But something was wrong, where were those assholes, if this girl wasn't alone then they were hunting for some booty. The girl on her side was only looking towards a place, where there once was a storehouse, but it seemed it was gone now, in her hand she had an ugly mask.
"Come here and have some fun with me!" He said mocking her moving his hips in strange ways while laughing.
The girl kept ignoring him as she looked at the place where it once was the hideout. It fell under the relentless fury of the captain after all.
"Hey, I'm talking to you bitch!" The bandit leader said angrily, he was done, he wanted to be gentle but not she was just another part of the loot and his to claim, he walked towards her angrily but then noticed something curious... free boots? and they looked like what the jerks of her companions where wearing... but the smoke was coming out of them... and it smelled really bad, at the beginning it was masked with all the death and destruction around, but this smell was different, something was cooked, something was charred... feet were still inside those boots.
Then the gang leader was no more, he just became ashes, cinders as his companions before him, but maybe being melted like this was merciful. But for the mage in question, she was just annoyed.
"Haa... all of this over some creates of weed" She sighted, she made those lunatic alchemists a favor and came here to see if some of their weed was recuperable, but it was a lost cause, everything was burned to a crisp.
She had heard the report, all this fight started over a quarrel with a drunkard cat who had a guest coin, but now it was too late to even care, they managed to save some merchandise and they even took souvenirs back with them.
"Haa... I wanted to fight that Blood Claw so bad and now she is gone too..." Then she turned back and started walking back "Well nothing to do, too bad, time to go back to work"
