Kang Jun had come to Hotel Helios early.
The man had spent the whole night doing some investigating regarding Lu AnLing's child and he hadn't felt a slight bit tired but once he had arrived to work he had many meetings which caused him to wish he could quit as acting CEO of Kang Corporations but Kang Jun knew that this wasn't possible.
At around midday, the man could no longer concentrate so he quickly left the office and got himself a coffee before heading straight to Hotel Helios. Though, on his way there, he wondered if he should pick up Kang Mingyu. Thinking about it for a moment, Kang Jun decided against it. He wanted to spend some alone time with his wife.
Entering the lounge, Kang Jun was exited to see his wife sing on a stage but once he entered Lu AnLing was on break. Swiftly, Kang Jun scanned the room for the girl and he quickly found her.
Lu AnLing was sitting at the bar speaking to a girl he didn't know.
Kang Jun was happy to see her face. He hadn't seen or felt her for more than twelve hours, after all, but just as quickly as his eyes found her, Kang Jun caught a glimpse of two pests.
The first was the man who, for whatever reason, kept following his wife desperately being engaged; Yang Yize and the other was his grandfather, whom Kang Jun easily spotted in the crowd of middle-aged men.
At first, Kang Jun wanted to go and shoo Yang Yize away. Many situations flashed through his mind, the best of them required Kang Jun to touch Lu AnLing sensually claiming her as his own but, as much as Kang Jun wanted to do that, it would defeat the purpose of them hiding their relationship, so he refrained.
Instead, what the man decided to do was send her a text message.
Once her phone buzzed, Lu AnLing quickly picked up her phone and once she read it, her face turned beet red.
Beside her, Madame Li and Xiao Mian continued to speak, so they didn't notice the girls shy expression but Yang Yize, whose eyes were glued to Lu AnLing, since the moment he had entered the lounge, turned dark at the sight.
The man, who had also seen the message, glanced around the room trying to find the sender but little did he know the sender was Kang Jun.
Seeing this Kang Jun smirked.
'Know your place you piece of trash. Stop crowding around my wife.' Kang Jun internally sneered before he made his way towards his grandfather.
The old man had seen the whole scene but he wasn't sure what had happened. What were the group talking about? Who was that man by Lu AnLing's side? Why had the girl blushed?
Elder Kang had no answers but still, he concentrated on the scene as if there was no one else in the room. It was like he was a private investigator on a case, but Kang Jun knew that, for this old man, this wasn't the case.
Seeing how the elder's eyes sparkled as he watched Lu AnLing, Kang Jun frowned.
"Grandfather." Kang Jun said coldly.
Hearing Kang Jun call to him, Elder Kang turned around swiftly. Upon laying his eyes on the man, Elder Kang's smile and the sparkle in the man's eyes faded so quickly that the elder looked like a different person.
"Why are you here?" Elder Kang said with a frown.
"I should be asking you the same thing." Kang Jun said as he gave his grandfather a suspicious look.
Seeing the way his grandson looked at him, Elder Kang gasped in annoyance.
"What? Can I not go out on my own? Can I not enjoy myself sometimes?" The old man spoke as if Kang Jun had wronged him.
Hearing the tone of the elder's voice, Kang Jun folded his arms over his chest and frowned even more. He didn't take a seat, he just looked at the old man with utter disdain.
Kang Jun: "Grandfather, do you know what this is called?"
When he said the word 'this' Kang Jun gestured between Elder Kang and Lu AnLing. The elder followed the man's gesture but he did not speak a word.
Elder Kang: "…"
"It's called stalking."
Hearing those words come out of his grandson's mouth, Elder Kang's face twisted as if he had been completely misunderstood.
"I wasn't stalking her. I was just watching over her. After all, she's my granddaughter now. I want to see how she's doing."
Kang Jun pinched the space between his eyebrows before he spoke. "You just defined what stalking is."
Kang Jun's words caused Elder Kang to freeze and then think it over. As he slowly deduced that Kang Jun was right, Elder Kang let out an exasperated sigh before he said, "Must you patronize you own grandfather?"
'Only when he deserves it' Kang Jun wanted to answer but instead he didn't say a word. He just sat down at the table and gazed towards Lu AnLing. Seeing Kang Jun's expression, Elder Kang smiled.
"Here you are judging me for stalking her and yet you're doing the same thing."
Kang Jun rolled his eyes, 'Keep dreaming old man.'
"I'm here to pick her up…" Kang Jun said as he was watching her, but then suddenly, he turned to Elder Kang. "But first, I think I'll escort you out."
Kang Jun pushed himself off the table and gesture for the elder to do the same. Reluctantly he did as Kang Jun wanted.
As Kang Jun walked him out, Elder Kang frowned.
Why was his grandson so cruel to him?
Once Kang Jun was finished with Elder Kang, he immediately went up to his old room. Since he had bought the room, Kang Jun still had a key and so he entered it without a second thought.
Once inside, Kang Jun felt as if he was back at the day of his wedding night. He was reminded of the sound of heavy breathing, of the scent of passion that enveloped his and Lu AnLing's sweat covered, naked bodies as they pushed into each other.
This caused his body to react slightly.
Feeling this, Kang Jun went into the bathroom, took off his clothing and proceeded to take a shower.

At the side, in their own world, Madame Liu and Xiao Mian continued to speak.
Hugging Xiao Mian tightly, Madame Liu smiled before she turned her smiling face towards Yang Yize who was gazing Lu AnLing's way. Lu AnLing, on the other hand, was sipping on her water trying her best to ignore the man.
Seeing this Madame Liu frowned at the two.
"Mister Yang, Isn't it wrong of you to stare at another woman, mostly when you're in your fiancée's presence?" Madame Liu sneered.
Hearing this Xiao Mian raised an eyebrow. "Oh no, auntie! It's not what you think. They're family friends and high school friends. Right Yize?"
Yang Yize nodded though his eyes were dark.
Seeing this unconvincing reaction, Madame Liu cleared her throat.
Gazing at Lu AnLing's wine-colored velvet dress, which revealed just enough cleavage to be alluring but not quite enough to be trashy, Madame Liu frowned. "Miss Lu, you're done for today. Go get changed."
With a frown plastered upon her full lips, Lu AnLing left the black velvet box containing the ring on the table and did as she was told.
As she left Yang Yize grabbed the box and was about to chase after her but instead, he just watched as Lu AnLing's hips swayed from side to side. It was as if Lu AnLing was doing it on purpose just to seduce him… to prove to him what he had lost, at least that was what Yang Yize believed.
Thought right at that moment, Yang Yize remembered what Lu AnLing had said to him when he'd met her and Sheng…
It was clear that Lu AnLing was beginning to fully move on from the part of herself which Yang Yize believed would be forever chained to him… And, right then, for the first time, he regretted cheating on her.
He was stupid…
It was his own fault…
He should have spoken to her instead of jumping to conclusions…
Though was it too late now to go back to the good old times? Yang Yize hoped not. But then, when he felt Xiao Mian's hand touch him gently before she intertwined her fingers with his lovingly, Yang Yize froze.
Looking at Xiao Mian in the eyes, feeling her love wrap around him like chains, Yang Yize felt a little bit sick.
He really liked Xiao Mian.
She was pretty damned perfect after all.
But still… something in his heart still pinned after Lu AnLing.
After all, she was his first love and no matter what he was never able to stop loving her and the more he continued to see her, the more he began to realize that he probably never would stop.
What was Yang Yize to do?
For now, even he wasn't sure.
Yang Yize... isn't it best to just leave her be... Why must you keep chasing!
Sorry for the slightly late update today. I had to go with my brother to drop his car off at the shop.
I’ll post the second chapter soon.
