Regardless of the risk I used the scan on the robber.
He is an E ranker. It's just a sub-rank higher than me. I can take him on but the problem is that once I expose myself there will be a chance that other robbers will try to interfere.
Even now I do not know the strength of the robber gang leader.
I can not risk my life for some instant gains. I used dual thinking to make some plans.
The robber approached other display items and smashed the glass boxes. He put the items inside the boxes into his bag.
He continued to do the same with other boxes.
Little by little he is getting closer to our location I do not want to lose my life or my key.
I used the skill of parallel thinking to its limit and tried to find a way out of the situation.
As I was thinking about the solution Gina suddenly hugged my arm. I think she also saw the robber coming and got scared.
Gina's whole body is shaking due to fear. Gina did not speak but her actions told me everything. Thinking of her overprotective parents Gina would never faced such a dangerous situation in her entire life.
She can only rely on the option beside her in the hope of getting a little bit of insurance and comfort. But the problem is that the option she has chosen is me which is not sure how to survive the current scenario.
My mind raced like a supercomputer or I say 2 supercomputers to come up with a reliable plan.
Suddenly I looked at the other display beside the place we were hiding. In the display cabinet, I saw the thing that can be used to solve the current problem only if things go out as I planned.
I removed gins hand and speak to her.
" no matter what happens do not move or try to make noise. Just trust me and hide till somebody comes to rescue you. I will try to grab the robber's attention so he might not come here. Do you understand me?" ( David )
Gina just looked at me but I could see the panic in her eyes. After some seconds passed by Gina just nodded her head indicating her approval but still tried to speak in a little voice.
" but you will be in danger. What if something happens to you and why are you risking your life to save mine? We are not that close. You have a better chance if you abandon me and escape on your own. Tell me why?" ( Gina )
I was dumbfounded at Gina's question. I can not tell her my real motive and I do not want to cause misunderstanding either but the situation is urgent. I do not have the luxury to think of a better reason so I gritted my teeth and replied.
" I like you so how can I put you in danger. So please cooperate with me." ( David )
" huh" ( Gina )
At my answer, Gina let out a surprised voice. Her eyes widened in shock. Even though I feel surprised by my answer I do not have the time to explain her.
I covered my face with a cloth and put on the cap. I also passed the clothes to Gina and told her to do the same. I want to avoid exposing myself to the robbers lest I face their revenge.
Soon robber approached the third display cabinet from us. Finishing looting it as it was about to approach the next display counter I jumped out of my hiding spot.
Using the surprise of the robber I kicked him in the chest. The robber got kicked away. I think robbers become careless due to smooth sailing so far.
I smashed the display cabinet beside me and pulled a thing.
It is an ancient sword but it is not an ordinary sword either.
As I grabbed the sword a current surged inside me.
I removed the shelf of the sword. A shiny sword revealed its timeless beauty. Like the time has stopped for it.
I attacked the robber with the sword.
Roober now realized someone had attacked it. It put its sword in a defensive position to block my attack but it was a mistake that would cost him dearly.
My sword shone with the light which attracted the attention of everyone including the other robbers and guards.
Regardless of the situation, my hand did not stop. Our swords meet each other.
The shocking thing happened. My sword cut right through the robber's sword and continued to approach the robber.
Robber froze in shock after losing his weapon but responded quickly. It moved his body in the hope of dodging the attack but my attack came so fast that before its body moved completely my sword landed on its chest.
Huge force sent the robber flying but his Armour managed to protect him from dying. Still, my sword left a deep wound on its body which is hard to remove instantly.
Finding that the robbers are distracted leader Tim also moved.
He lunged at the opposite robber leader so got distracted due to my move.
Leader Tim and the robber leader engaged in a fight. Other security guards also pulled their weapons and lunged at the robbers.
The scene becomes chaotic as both robbers and guards start to fight with each other.
As the leader Tim takes on the strongest force on the other side robbers lose the strength advantage.
The guards who come with the leader Tim are different compared to normal guards as they gain the upper hand against their opponent.
I decided to follow my lead and attacked the injured robber. The robber tried to escape but due to their injury, its speed was reduced dramatically.
I attacked its head with my sword. The robber screamed in despair as my sword cut off its head. It's hard to guess the genders of the robbers as they are so covered.
The scream of the fallen guy affected other robbers who made mistakes in their actions and got some injuries from the mistake they made.
I used the scan and found another weak opponent same rank as me. I approached the guard who Was tangled with another robber.
I attacked the robber as it tried to defend itself from the guard's attack.
Finding the right opportunity I cut off the hand of the robber holding the weapon. The robber screamed and fell to the ground. Finally, the guard struck the robber's heart. The aggrieved robber died on the spot.
I and the guard exchanged looks. I pointed at another robber close by fighting another guard and the guard nodded at me.
Both of us approached the robber and the poor robber got killed in seconds under attack by me and the other two guards.
With the same tactic, we continued to attack other robbers who fell at a disadvantage.
As I was dealing with a robber I felt a huge sense of danger approach me. I turned around and put my sword against my chest.
A hand struck the sword in the next second. The huge recoil sent me flying a meter away from my initial position.
Even with the sword protecting me I feel one of my ribs got broken due to the force of the attack.
I swallowed the blood rushed to my mouth and looked at the attacker.
It is the man from the couple who started all of this. I remembered the rank of the other party and took a deep breath to suppress the fear inside me.
'Why did this lunatic approach me?' ( David )
The man looks surprised that I survived his attack. Instead of attacking me he looked at me and smiled.
If not for the blood on his face the smile would have convinced me that the other party was a normal person.
He spoke to me.
" not bad kid, not bad at all. Able to survive under my attack I think you got some skills. If not for you things would not have escalated this far. You stuck your nose into something you should not have. Any last words." ( Man )
" Like you would have let me go if I have chosen to remain silent. I would have the same fate as those guards killed by you. Come at me you fucker." ( David )
Just as I finished speaking the man lunged at me.
I drank some potions and responded to the man. Other guards tried to come to save me but got entangled by the other robbers.
Due to the potions, I can barely handle the attacks of the man but this will not last forever as the potions effect is not permanent.
As the fight continued I approached the area where I first killed the robber. I remembered that Gina was hiding nearby and tried to get away from her but the man continued to corner me.
Due to my little distraction, the man found the opportunity and punched me hard. The man thought he had won but he missed the smile on my face.
My body crashed into the display cabinet where Gina was hiding. The display cabinet breaks into pieces and all the contents of its are scattered all over the ground.
Everybody was focused on their opponent and nobody paid attention to me. Even the man did not notice that one of the items on the ground had some changes to it.
The man continued to approach me as I struggled to stand up. Just as the man was about to attack me Gina who was hiding behind the cabinet I just smashed stood in front of me.
She is holding something in her hand which is now emitting a strong light.
Despite being protected by the Gina I feel the strong sense of danger from the item Gina is holding. The man froze in his tracks.
Even the air around us felt a little heavy as a dense amount of mana started to gather near us. A space portal appeared in front of Gina.
Before the man reacted something came out of the portal and attacked the man.
The man is flying away and his chest has a claw mark which has lots of blood flowing out of it.
As the man landed on the ground he covered his chest and looked at the attacker.
The creature that appeared out of the portal looked like a polar bear but much larger and stronger.
Its claws shone with light and its body showed fierce momentum. Like a wild beast. Gina who was standing in front of me suddenly started to fall back.
I caught up with her and looked at her condition. Gina was gasping for breath and looked exhausted.
She speaks to me in a weak voice.
"This Is the thing given to me by my parents in case I find myself in danger. Sorry, I did not use it sooner because I was scared and did not know if I used this you would choose to save yourself and run away instead. Sorry for doubting you. Help me as using this item will be a huge burden on me." ( Gina )
Saying this Gina stopped speaking and looked at me quietly. I put Gina in a clean spot and looked at the man who Was treating his wound.
Others also were surprised by the sudden arrival of the creature. I used the scan on it.

A powerful summoned creature. Gina's parents love her as they give such precious things to her.
The bear looked the Gina and then at me. It growled at me. It thought I was harming Gina. Gina signaled the bear to calm down.
Although the bear stopped growling I still found that if I tried to do something to Gina it would attack me.
Finding that Gina is alright bear looked at the man it attacked.
With the help of the potions, the man recovered from his injuries and looked at the bear. For the first time, I saw the seriousness on the other party's face. Even when dealing with me the man looked relaxed as if I meant nothing to him.
Now finding an equal opponent the man showed a serious look. A typical example of hitting the weak and fearing the strong.
Bear continued to guard me and Gina well mostly Gina. The robber leader also noticed the situation on our side and looked at his other companions.
Finding the situation grim the leader seems to come to the decision. Leader fired a spell at the sealing which burst into brilliant fireworks.
As if receiving some sort of signal the robbers burst front with a strong fighting intent. They started to attack the guards with all their might without caring about their lives.
Even the robber leader burst into action as he increased his attack. Leader Tim and other guards soon fell into the short disadvantage.
The man opposite us drinks a potion. A scarlet aura burst from his body and he attacked the bear.
Feeling provoked the bear roared at the incoming man and rushed forth. While rushing it seems something got under its paws and broke into tiny pieces.
Not minding it the bear continued to run at the man. Just as the bear and man were about to hit each other man dodged the bear and came running towards us.
It swings its huge axe in the direction of Gina. This is the difference between a beast and a human.
Humans think about the situation instead of madly attacking the enemy. As the man's axe was about to stick Gina a sword appeared in its path.
The man got irritated after missing the target and looked at me angrily who was holding the said sword and blocking the axe.
Gina looked at me in a daze. Her eyes revealed pure shock and some other emotions which I chose to ignore.
I looked at the man opposite to me. I pushed the man away from the Gina. After continued failures, the man's anger towards me has reached its peak as he gives a chilling killing intent to me.
The man raised the axe and attacked me. I parried the axe but the attacks got more sharper and stronger one after another.
It looked like a lone tree was trying to resist the strong wind. In addition to previous ones, my body was filled with wounds. If not for the sword I was wielding I would have fallen long ago.
The man got irritated with my constant blocks and decided to end this. He raised his axe and attacked me with all his strength.
The axe glowed in light and even the man glowed as if he used some sort of skill or special item.
Finding the huge danger my eyes revealed the calmness as the skill of dual thinking helped me to think properly while fighting.
From the corner of my eye, I found something approaching fast.
I closed my eyes and opened them. My eyes showed determination.
I abounded the defense and approached the man. Even the man was surprised by my actions.
The sword landed on my shoulder just missing my neck my millimeters.
The huge shockwave wreaked my body but I managed to hold the man down for the second.
The man got confused by my suicidal attempt but soon realized something was wrong.
