章節 73: A Relaxing place

The scent and view of the flowers kept me staying in this garden, almost frozen in place. Admiring each and every single one of them, Mary does handle alot of plants in this garden. And many of em are poisonous so her job is also risky.

"Damon, came back to see my garden again?" Mary's voice questioned me from behind, with enthusiasm and joy in its tone.

I turned to face Mary, standing behind me holding a small box.

"This garden changed alot since the last time i went here, looks more beautiful." I responded to her.

"Well, i did expand a little and added more poisonous flowers to make gasses with. Say, why did you actually go here?"

"I wanted to relax and unwind for a bit, from the mission we did."

"Ohhh i understand. Wait please don't tell me you touched the flowers or plants here."

"No no i didn't" Mary sighed in relief after i replied.

"Oh that's a relief, i actually planted a few more plants. And made some upgrades to my room over ther." Mary points at the blank wall.

"Oh right," Mary takes a takes out a trowel from the box.

"I forgot, i didn't start cutting these plants yet, this process can be risky so im sorry Damon but you gotta leave for now, it was fun though meeting ya." Mary said.

Time to head out then, through the door i exited, through the window peering into the garden, Mary brought her box to the blank wall, opening a door to the other room.

I suppose i could wait outside, the sunset is still in sight. The lights of the city begining to brighten up as darkness slowly approaches. This academy does have alot of places to go to for leisure, wonder if they also have a gaming room with billiards, bowling and such.

In the garden, Mary was on her knees tending to a plant, wearing long sleeved clothing, a mask of sorts covering her face along with gloves, as she knelt on her knees she started cutting parts of the plant or the flowers, putting them inside a box.

I stood by, staring at the sun's entire sunset. Now with most of it gone under the horizon, night slowly dominated the sky. Street lights turned on along with the headlights of cars driving around. This window does provide a good view of the city as well, facing the other side of the building. Opposite of the high rise buildings.

Staring back at the garden, Mary was gone. The plants next to where she sat now bearing lesser flowers or leaves than before. Finished already? Or that's not the end yet.

The door opens, out emerged Mary, now no longer wearing the clothing she wore for the plants.

"I thought you left, but you're still here. The sunset is a nice view from here isn't it?" Mary asked.

"Yeah, it is." I replied.

"Second good thing in this floor, just behind the garden. I finished taking out some flowers and trimming em a little, right now i just need to check the machines and stored poisons. It was nice that you visited my garden to take a look at the stuff it had, you can go back inside if you want, just don't brush yourself or touch the plants. I can show you the improved machines as well."
