章節 220: All We Have Now is Us

In so many ways Marvel smiled, but only a few were told with his lips. There were times he smiled with the lilt of his voice or a gentle alter in his gaze. There were times he smiled with his choice of words or the way he paused to turn to me. My favorite was when he smiled with arms that pulled me into his embrace and told me of our bond.

"Being inside you while holding you close like this is the best thing I've ever felt, Angelo."

While caressing my cheek, Marvel smiled and said those words to me as if his features were nothing, just in case I needed to hear them. I did need to hear them. I simply had no idea that I did.

I couldn't be more at a loss for words, still processing the enormity of his heart and soul, of how lucky I was to have him, hence the silence. His eyes were so different in moments like these, softer than I knew eyes could be.
